I’ve wanted to come for ages. It was worth the effort. On the one hand this is a simple country diner, on the other, they have some dishes that really excel. We wanted coffee and the server said the current pot was getting a little old. She made a new one. It was very good. That doesn’t happen much at a diner like this. We were here for a Sunday lunch/brunch. The wife went with the traditional bacon and eggs. They nailed everything. I saw the burger was the place they specialize in. I got the mushroom burger. It was one of the best burgers I’ve had in Utah. The patty is obviously hand made, and while not cooked pink, not overcooked at all. Excellent bun. However, the mushrooms were just excellent and the cheese was all gooey. I went with the tater tots and they were good.
Service was outstanding. While not everyone that came in was properly masked up, they staff is, and the tables are well spaced. It was all good.

Penny’s was pleasantly pleasing to my palate. Price was low, and you get a sizable amount of food.
The only suggestion I have, is play some music. It was so quiet in there, that I felt like I had to almost whisper. Other than that, it was a cool place to stop in the middle of nowhere!
I will definitely go again

Pancakes are crumbly but taste very good/rich. Blue cheese burger has a really good creamy blue cheese smothered all over it. But my burger meat was dry, so overall I was disappoint with it. I could drink that cheese sauce tho, soooooo good. No wifi.

I definitely recommend this place! We drove about 30 miles to try their food. It was worth every mile. They have the most delicious spicy fries we’ve ever tried.

Pleasantly surprised by this little place south of Stockton, Utah. The food was great, especially the chicken fried steak (dinner menu.) Typical diner fare.

Food was good but vibes were not. Definitely almost entirely regulars in there and I felt like the server was unhappy to be there or serving folks that weren’t regulars/from the area. Great prices. Lots of parking. Not much to see in the area.

Penny’s is awesome! I had a bacon cheeseburger, which was huge and extremely good. I also got tots, which were good, but had a fishy taste. I imagine they used the same fryer for fish. Not a big deal for me, but might be for you. It reminds me of the fries from American Burger. They have steak fries that likely won’t retain the fishy taste. Another customer got a waffle that looked delicious. Oh, and they have Dr Pepper! Besides food, it’s a cozy place, the staff are nice, and there were some girls selling custom bracelets. Adjacent to the restaurant is a yard sale as well. Lastly, the location is a few minutes south of Stockton, or about halfway between Tooele and the Fivemile recreation area, so if you’re out there on the weekend, this is a solid choice that’s not too far away. (Edit: corrected “toys” to “tots”).

We happened upon Penny’s while driving to Ophir and what a surprise it was. Their mushroom burgers are delicious and with the onions rings it’s to die for.
The service is pretty slow so don’t go if you are in a hurry but if you are looking to just sit down and enjoy yourself it’s perfect.
They are worth the wait, the waiters aren’t slow, just the actual food preparation.

Exceptional flavors, food and fabulous service. Well sized portions too at a considerably great price. Small town hospitality at its finest! Parked my 53 ‘ trailer and tractor in pull through too.
