Truly such a delightful experience from start to finish. Sometimes going out on Valentine’s Day can be tricky and often disappointing. This, however, was beyond lovely. The moment you walk in you are taken aback by how quaint and picturesque everything is (and clean for that matter). Well lit and welcoming, the staff is equally as bright and cheerful. We had the Valentine’s Day menu that was honestly such a great deal because you get so much food. Even though the sandwiches look tiny, they are very flavorful and filling. The tea cups and pots are ornate and beautiful. Everything seems to have been selected with love and intention. However, I’d go back again just to be surrounded by their energy. They greeted every customer like an old friend, and by the looks of it, a lot of customers are friends of theirs. Who wouldn’t want to be with vibes like that? 100/10 would recommend.

Rare find! Excellent place for a real traditional “High Tea”. They even offer gluten free baked goods. I suggest the millionaire shortbread bars. I had the coronation chicken on a toasted croissant! By FAR THE BEST chicken salad sandwich I’ve ever had! Coronation chicken has apricots and a mango chutney in it. Gluten free? -no problem, you can get this on greens (salad).

I’ve ordered scones for my mum’s birthday for the last 3 years, and the team at Brit’s Brand/Penny Farthing have gone above and beyond to make sure I get them during the busy holiday season. The scones are phenomenal -better than most you’d find in England, and have become a cherished part of the family birthday ritual. Big thanks to Clare and the Brit’s Brand team for their artistry and cheery service. This spot is one to come to.

Absolutely loved this spot. The pot of Earl Grey was perfectly brewed, and the scone with had wonderful crispy edges and served with proper clotted cream and jam. The cake was excellent too.

Cozy, charming, and adorable atmosphere. Highly recommend for a proper tea!

Hubby surprised me with a visit here.
Avid tea drinker and love a little something with it. The Penny Farthing Tea Room and Bakery is simply wonderful.
Great assortment of teas and sweets or savories to complement.
I enjoyed a tasty Chai tea along with Quiche and small salad. Hubby had a cheese and onion pastie and sausage roll. All delish! Atmosphere is most welcoming and cozy. Surrounded by decor of country, tea and British decent. The ladies there (I understand there are 3 owners) work together to present a divine experience for each customer. Friendly, welcoming and as sweet as their food offerings.
If you have not been, please go and meet them. Have a nice cup of tea, a little nosh (all served using real china) and rest for a bit in a homey environment.
This place soothes the soul….
Thank you ladies!

Amazing new tea room and bakery, also offering breakfast and lunches. Happy to see the 3 wonderful British owners have finally opened their own place after selling their delicious scones and other baked goods around CT for the past few years. Generous portions, reasonable prices and friendly service. Stop in for a treat of their scones with clotted cream and jam – the very best way to experience them, with a pot of real British tea (although they do have other drinks …)

What a hidden gem. Friendly courteous staff were welcoming into this British appointed tea room. We had the blueberry lemon scone and caramel apple as well. We also enjoyed fruit / cream croissant! Freshly baked inhouse, everything was on point! The sausage rolls with brown sauce truly reminded me of time spent living in London. I heard the owner (presumably) talking about how they sold out of their shepherds pie in 20 min!

Definitley will be back to try afternoon tea….highly recommend this spot! You won’t be disappointed
