I just love old fashioned ice cream stands and this one is no exception. Date of first-time visit was Monday July 28, 2025. I treated myself to a milkshake. Nothing really special. I should have gotten a cone.

A Genuine Surprise Stop on Our Way Back From NYC
We were on our way home from NYC, planning to wash the car before calling it a day, when we drove past Pennsville Custard Stand. Right before it, we passed what can only be described as a crack den (a rundown motel with a few guys doing the crack dance), and honestly, we didn’t expect much more down the road.
Then suddenly, we see this beautiful little hole-in-the-wall shack that completely caught us off guard. Not only were the prices super reasonable, but the service was lightning fast — in and out like that.
It was clearly a regular local spot too. We saw a dad just casually enjoying his custard outside his truck, like this was his go-to ritual, while my wife and I enjoyed ours. It had this wholesome, small-town vibe that made the whole stop feel unexpectedly special.
If you’re ever passing through, don’t sleep on this place. Absolute gem.

Most flavors are bussin but some are awful so juay taste test before you try something new. Their sizes are definitely hit or miss. A small can be 2 bites or can be over flowing. No consistency

I recently just moved near this town and this is my favorite ice cream place to go. Theirs so many options to choose from and not everything is vanilla based, people are just picky. My favorite is the cookies and cream, and this place just made me love it more ! I strongly recommend this place if you want good, homemade ice cream, and if you don’t want to go to Dairy Queen or something, this place is much better, feels like home.

I stopped here after seeing the reviews and ordered a strawberry custard. It tasted like vanilla with some of the Hershey’s strawberry sauce mixed in it. So it wasn’t exactly strawberry flavor. Although it did taste like good vanilla custard. I wasn’t overly impressed. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing?
