If I would not recommend you drive out of your way to dine at the restraunt you can not be greater than a three. I am not going to tell anyone to go somewhere for average food.
The appetizer platter for two. I think it all came from the Asian version of Costco. Or maybe it was Costco.
I like many versions of Pad Thai. This one falls into the average category. It lacks texture and flavor.

Outstanding Thai Cuisine!
We started with the creamy cheese crisp, which was absolutely delicious.
I had the cashew nut stir-fry with vegetables and chicken, and it was exceptional. The chicken and vegetables were perfectly cooked, with the veggies remaining fresh and crisp. The flavors were fantastic!
My husband tried the Thai fried rice and loved it just as much.
Everything was top-notch, earning a solid 10/10. The dish was visually appealing, generous in portion, and well worth the price.
With excellent service and great value, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Delicious, it was my first time trying Thai food and I loved it. All of the staff were friendly and timely, and the food was fresh and full of flavor. The complementary water they gave was very crisp and clean-tasting, unlike other restaurant’s water that often tastes gross or dirty. Mom got stir fry rice and I got orange chicken stir fry. The chicken was great, crispy and juicy. We also had dumplings as an appetizer.
Also, the interior is well decorated. The walls are brightly colored, they have interesting art from Thailand/photos of Thailand, and they have religious figures (Buddha, I beileve). The music was calm and the lighting was dim, so if you or your guests are easily overwhelmed by bright light/noise, this restaurant’s atmosphere shouldn’t be an issue.
I would recommend Penn’s to anyone!

We love Penn Thai Grille! The food is always delicious, well done and we’ll presented. Everything I’ve had has been good. Just had Mixed Garlic, Mango Salad, Tom Kha soup. All great. Mango Sticky rice is a must for dessert if enemy to go. We’ve spent a lot of time in Thailand and Penn does it right if not better. Staff here are always friendly and helpful. It has a permanent spot on our restaurant rotation and it does with a number of our friends.

We wanted Thai takeout near Spring Valley and we were so pleased with Penn’s Thai Grille. The food was great and our takeout order was ready in 20 minutes. The menu had a lot of reasonably priced meals. We will definitely have this on our list of regular restaurants.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Penn’s Thai Grill. We had a large party of 14 for a graduation celebration and our service was excellent. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our dishes – some of the best Thai we have had (and we have had Thai ALOT – nearly have had every Thai restaurant in Dayton!). The atmosphere was perfect and the staff were so thoughtful in making our celebration truly feel special. They went above and beyond, and I am so glad that we chose Penn’s for our evening meal!

An absolute gem of a place. The interior is nicely decorated and the staff are friendly, polite and the service was good. I got 1. Papaya Salad (4/5) which was good and a tad bit spicy. It could use some peanuts. I also got the spicy duck (5/5)- spice level 3. An absolutely amazing dish. The best duck I have had in recent times. The aroma of fried basil, the crunchy and soft duck coupled with few veggies was perfect. I would highly recommend this dish to anyone who want to try duck. I am definitely going here again.

First time we ate at the restaurant and we liked our food. Tonight we picked up food for 7 people and the food destroyed our plan. Everybody was unhappy! We wanted food without chicken and 2 dishes had chicken in it. We wanted mild and medium level of spice; but food was not spicy at all!!! 3 other dishes missed nuts/peanuts. Very disappointed.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in town. The flavor of the food is amazing and the service is great. HOWEVER!! They have an automatic 15% tip after $50 has been purchased that is not advertised or stated anywhere. I don’t really have a problem with the tip amount but it’s wrong to automatically take it without saying AHEAD OF TIME that it will be charged. The prices are already on the higher end. Very disappointing!!!
