The manager everly(if thats even how u spell it. Night manager) was rude and disrespectful to my mother she went in tonight 12/6 to get 2 subs a steak and cheese with extra steak. And a grilled ham and cheese with pickles and light lettuce said NO TOMATOES . The crew still put tomatoes on my moms sandwich. She is deathly allergic to tomatoes. She called and ask for the manager, told her was wrong on the sub and the manager told her to take the tomatoes off and eat it and told her to suck it up. The whole crew laughed and then when me and my aunt called to talked to her about this we were accused of harassing her and we were treated disrespectful and she hung up. This everly person if her name is even that . Was extremely ungrateful and disrespectful. She DONT EVEN DESERVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE A MANAGER POSTITION. SHE NEEDS TO BE FIRED. IF THINGS WERE REVERSED AND THIS WAS HER FAMILY SHE WOULD FIGHT FOR ANSWERS.

I could not be any more impressed!!
We are only in town for a few days, staying at a local hotel. We ordered a delivery through DoorDash and the driver never showed to pick up our order. I called and our sandwiches were sitting there “waiting”.
The young man that answered the phone Zach (sp) asked me to hold for a moment and then came back to the phone to say that an assistant manager (Avery)(sp) would be bringing our order to us. Wow !!! Excellent customer service!!
When she arrived she tried to help me with the refund process on my phone and after being on hold for awhile I decided to wait until morning to call ….
Then Baron (mgr maybe ?) called me to say he was going to refund my money because of the situation. Really ?? Another WOW !! This NEVER HAPPENS!!
This team went ABOVE AND BEYOND and even though the sandwiches had been sitting there, they were EXCELLENT!!
I did pay for a sandwich (that was only right).
Do yourself a favor and try them out if you haven’t already.
If I lived here I would DEFINITELY be a repeat customer!!

Ordered the most disappointing, disgusting, saturated with vinegar sandwich. I literally couldnt even pick it up to eat because it was so drenched. The vinegar smell almost made me throw up. Very disappointed. Usually stuff is good from here, even when we get it delivered. I took a bite & had to waste my money because I couldnt eat more, even after putting on gloves so I could actually pick it up. 0/10 sandwich. Ill make sure to let people know..

The lady at the front serving (forgive my spelling – Shaunte?) was soo kind! Genuinely just happy to be there. I love when people love their jobs, makes the experience 10x better. She even grabbed our trays to clear them off the table while we sat and chatted! She deserves recognition. Definitely made our day better just by her interaction with us.

July 2024 – my wife ordered me the grilled Italian sub. It was very good. Just enough meat and veggies. Much better than subway. Worth trying if you want a good sub. They also do cold or grilled. Website was very helpful on what to order. Friends of ours ordered fries and they were good.

On the Dave Portnoy scale this is a 9.4 Italian sub. The best Italian sub off the grill in Macomb. Cookies are supreme. Fries are excellent. Everything is always fresh. The flavor is great. Consistency at this location has never wavered in a decade span of coming here. I have nothing but good things to say about the Gratiot Penn Station. I will be back again, of course. Kudos to whoever runs this place, you’re a legend in my book.

Throughout all the years that I have come to this location. I have never had an issue . Staff are always polite, helpful and make conversation with customers. Plus the food is always hot and good. Never disappoints. As well as ,the manager goes above and beyond to keep that spot going .

Several steps up from something like subway for me! I have never even heard of this place before, but I got the Off-The-Grill Classic Italian and it was delicious! My group also really enjoyed their meals, so while a tad pricey in comparison, very worth.
