I came in and saw on the menu that a small sub was $5.65 or something in that range but it said $5 and some change. The employees that took my order and prepared my order was very polite and had great customer service. However when you get to the register to pay it’s the stale rude MANAGER “may I add” that never has a pleasant or warm welcoming just always BLUHH. Tells me my total, I asked him why was it that much when the sandwich is 5 something he loudly says DIDN’T YOU ORDER MEAT! I say yes but is your extra meat $4? he holds the receipt up and loudly says it’s $2!!’ As I look on the receipt I realize the sandwich was a couple more bucks than what the menu says , so I say again it’s says it’s 5 something on the menu board he loudly says it’s $7!!!! And walks away. I asked the gentleman who took my order to look at the menu board and tell me what is says. He says it’s says $5.65 or whatever the change was. I asked if he could tell his manager what WE are looking at. He tells the manager and the manager says in the most nonchalant voice a number fell down and I’m about to fix it now. He was already peeling the number stickers off the paper so he knew exactly what I was talking about. I asked the manager why couldn’t he explain that to me instead of short talking me like I couldn’t read the menu board he then says nonchalantly “ I didn’t short talk you!” I said well you sure didn’t explain to me why there was a difference in the price as if I’m wrong for asking what I’m spending MY money on. Penn station is my favorite and I eat there at least twice a week. This location is right down the street from my job and I stop going there for lunch a little over a year ago because of this same manager. Although I never really had a bad encounter with him until today I just never ever got a warm or friendly welcoming from this manager so I stopped going and instead I would rather miss out on a couple bucks and take a longer lunch break to go a few miles up. The weather was bad and that’s the ONLY reason I went today. I never expected him to give me the sandwich for a lower price but a nicer explanation for the price difference would have stopped this review. I am a former restaurant manager myself and did it for over 20yrs and we all know it’s not what you tell the customer, it’s HOW you tell the customer. They don’t know anything other than what they see. It’s up to employees to make it a great visit and every customer deserves a smile . The time is came in the store was a little after 12 pm today.

There was one pleasant girl working in there. The rest a wash. The food was soggy. Ordered two similar Phillys but different they came with the same ticket and made the same. Ordered fries well done they’re soggy with no salt and I don’t even like really salted fries so if I can taste the bland it’s bad. I drove 10 minutes further than the one close to me because they used to be better but they’re no. I can pay $40 for three things to come home annd make it better in the fryer and at least save my time going to crookshank.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience here was disappointing enough that I feel it needs to be said. From the moment I walked in, the staff was noticeably rude and dismissive. Simple questions were met with attitude, and it felt like I was inconveniencing them just by being there.
What made the situation worse was the manager’s behavior. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, the manager was even ruder than the staff. Their tone was condescending, unhelpful, and completely lacking in basic customer service. It’s extremely frustrating when the person who’s supposed to set the example is the one making the situation worse.
Overall, the unprofessionalism from both the staff and the manager made it clear that customer care is not a priority here. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this place to others.

Food wasn’t terrible, but they didn’t add the bacon I was charged for on my sandwhich. I even added double bacon :/ seems as if they didn’t want to prep it today. Order#117 5:55pm 10-13-2025. Come on guys, it’s a monday, there’s nobody in the store.

First time walking into Penn Station East Coast Subs and they didn’t make me feel like a rookie—ordering was friendly and they explained the menu without making it weird. I grabbed the teriyaki chicken sub. It came out hot, stuffed, and definitely filled me up. Only knock? A little saltier than my East Coast taste buds usually sign off on, but hey, at least it wasn’t bland. All in all, not a bad first ride with this chain.

They gave me a tiny snack sized sub and tried to pass it off as a large sub. I called and they tried to gaslight me and tell me i got what i ordered. I could clearly tell they used the snack sized bread.

The manager and staff are rude and unprofessional.
