Los Yaquis is one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. I’ve been there so many times and the quality of service, food and ambient is always great.

I recommend everything’s but items I personally love are carne en su jugo, ceviche, chilaquiles, Michaelasas and any taco is awesome.

Sometimes they have live music and the location is quite in the middle of the city so easy to get.

Great job Los Yaquis! See you soon!

The food at Los Yaquis in Van ness is really good and so is the service. The menu here is a bit different from the Folsom location. This one leans more toward seafood but they have everything from chicken to beef to seafood. The tostadas are a must, the tacos dorados are great, the octopus sarandeado is also really good. Portions are big and decent so the quality to price ratio is honestly superb.

The vibe is very good. It’s LGBT-inclusive and you can feel that everyone is welcome. The service is excellent and the staff is always attentive. It’s also a family-friendly place. You see a lot of families coming here to eat and enjoy the food. The karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays adds a fun touch and makes it a great place to spend the evening.

Overall this is a solid spot with great food, great atmosphere and something for everyone.

I recently came for a Friday afternoon lunch – and it was excellent. I live nearby and will be back! The atmosphere, cleanliness, service, and food are exactly what I wanted, and worth the price. My Baja fish tacos were a great batter and sauce, combined with the veggie slaw. I usually prefer grilled fish tacos, and yet these are worth another order for sure 🙂
The guacamole and chips are also very good – and the homemade texture and flavoring is very obvious – good!!
And, the margarita was also recommended – fresh juice, and excellently prepared. My server was very helpful and friendly – as well the chef who I thanked on my wat out!!

Los Yaquis stands out as one of the premier Mexican cuisine experiences in San Francisco. A regular customer for the past 16 years since its opening, I’ve observed its evolution firsthand. The menu has transformed over time, each change only amplifying its appeal. From tantalizing seafood dishes to classic Mexican staples, everything is top-notch.

The restaurant’s aesthetic, too, has grown with time, now an Instagram-worthy ambiance from every corner. It’s not just about the food and decor, though. Make your evenings unforgettable by joining their karaoke nights every Friday and Saturday – easily the most entertaining spectacle in town.

The cherry on top? The cordiality of the staff and owners, always serving with a smile. I find myself constantly recommending Los Yaquis. If you’re in the city, it’s an absolute must-visit!

Los Yaquis Taqueria…that’s where he said to meet…it’s right there on S. Van Ness blvd. you can’t miss it!
Well, I was in the city anyway going over the spec sheet for the Hemmerslogger machine that I helped old Pickpocket Pearl and her Slug husband Needlefish McGee put up on the roof of their brownstone so they could better their odds of bringing in that Horned Paddler that’s been hanging around Goodebump Charlie’s. It’ll work okay, but everyone at Goosebump’s will probably have a headache. He’s recommend the Tacos de Barbacoa a la Plancha…said they’re the best in the city, and he was right…they were Amazing! 5 stars for Los Yaquis ☆☆☆☆☆

It’s a restaurant that serves Mexican food. The menu has a lot of variety, featuring a wide range of traditional dishes. The food is delicious, and they also have imported beers like Victoria, Pacifico, Corona, among others, along with a good selection of tequila and other drinks. On Fridays and Saturdays, they have karaoke, which is a lot of fun and adds a lively atmosphere to the place. The service is excellent and very attentive. By the way, the mixed molcajete was absolutely delicious and highly recommended. It’s definitely a great spot to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine and a vibrant dining experience.

So disappointed on my last visit. I have been coming to this restaurant for about 10 years now. I came with my parents, husband, and 2 children. I have never been charged an automatic gratuity until Saturday. I don’t remember seeing it on the menu and it caught us by surprise. I asked if we could split the bill and were told no. The “service charge was $36 PLUS A $3 FEE to pay with debit card. Which means you we paid about $55 extra with tax and fees. We paid over $200 for 2 tortas, 3 plain tacos, a piece of chicken, and plate of shrimp and an octopus cocktail plus our sodas.
