Good spot to have some family run Puerto Rican food. Ordered pestelio and small platter of pork and beef. Tasted a little bit salty but it’s absolutely tasty. The owner patiently present me what they got and it feels good when there is no menu. Although pestelio was almost empty which I only had four star for this place.

We ordered food for Christmas Eve…rice, pork & a large container of beans for nine people. There was so much food & the food was amazing! Everything was so tasty…it was the closest to my mom’s cooking, God rest her soul. And the best part was that everyone left with a care package and I still had enough left for myself. Penalvert’s will be my go to place for my gathering next Christmas Eve.
