Had lunch at Perking Restaurant in New Braunfels today, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe that’s perfect for a midday break. The staff were super friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
I ordered sweet and sour chicken and pepper steak , and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. You can tell they take pride in their food. The menu had a good variety too, something for everyone. I also appreciated how clean everything was, from the dining area to the restrooms.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area and looking for a solid spot for lunch. I’ll be back for sure!

While it doesn’t look like a fancy place, I was pleasantly surprised at the modest decor.
I ordered the Shrimp Peking Style because I didn’t have any idea what it was. It had shrimp, sprouts, and water cress in a spicy sauce served with fried rice and an egg roll. I decided to try something new.
It was delicious and I’ll definitely come back to try something else.

Complete lunch under $10.00 and its good food. The wonderful woman working during lunch is fantastic! She’s very attentive, always checks up on you making sure you’re ok, she does all the little things to make everything perfect. She is very caring and excellent at what she does! Occasionally I work in the area and always try to come here for lunch. Been coming here about 7 months now and I’m very happy I stopped in that 1st time

this is by far the best restaurant in New braunfels. i am being 100% honest. i have been eating this fine food since i was a toddler. 100% recommended. as you can see in the photo i absolutely tore it up. i had the sesame chicken, hot and sour soup. ALSO VERY CHEAP FOR VERY GOOD FOOD.

I’ve been coming here since the late 2000s. The food and service have always remained fantastic. Where else can you go and get an entree, soup and drink for less than $8? This is one of those cozy mom and pop restaurants that has been in the community before the great migration.

I don’t know where to start. Walking through the door I always get a greeting from a sweet lady always happy never once seem mad or sad. She is also the only one working the front. And manages to get everyone drinks and food out at a decent time not a long wait at all. And the food reminds me of my childhood absolutely amazing every time I’m in town I stop by. I have been eating at this restaurant with family since I was a toddler. Always affordable, endless great atmosphere with generous portions, wonderful service each and every visit, owned and operated by mom and pops! At the age of 25 this magnificent establishment is always my go-to Chinese restaurant without a doubt. the flavors and different options of cuisines will leave you with a great big smile each and every visit! I am grateful to have experienced such an amazing culture this establishment brought to New Braunfels during my life span. Without a doubt 5 stars all the way!

Stopped in for lunch. My first visit here. Ordered the sesame chicken and broccoli beef combo. It came with fried rice, cup of soup, and a drink, only $5.95!!! Small inside. No TV or background music. I liked that, quiet inside.
The hot and sour soup was VERY hot (temperature wise) so test it before you take a big spoonful like I did. The soup seemed a little sweet but I liked it. The rice was a strange orange color? The sesame chicken was not sweet as I am used too but was also good. The broccoli beef was also good. Portion size was reasonable but at this price I was impressed. Service was fast.. a good thing for a limited lunch break.

I noticed this place on a trip to New Braunfels and tried it for dinner. I was expecting yummy fresh made cuisine and instead I received cooked frozen packed food. I tried the fried pork dumplings ($10) and the veggie lo main ($10). Both were frozen packaged from a club store. I buy the same things to cook at home.
I do not recommend this restaurant at all. The hostess was very nice and pleasant to speak with.
