I ordered Peking for take out tonight and everything was great. My picky kids even ate. Everything tasted wonderful, better than I remember. The egg rolls were phenomenal and crab Rangoon’s were delicious. Definitely the best Chinese in town.

While the service was pretty good, the food is absolutely terrible. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, and it tastes like nothing but fried breading. When you think of sweet and sour chicken, you think of the chicken being coated in a sauce. Not here. The popcorn like chicken is drizzled with “sweet and sour sauce” and is served next to bland “fried” rice (white rice with a few pieces of egg). I also ordered crab rangoon’s that were not even mid, served with that same “sweet and sour sauce” that arrives to your table in a squirt bottle. I say this, as the sweet and sour sauce also tastes like a nothing burger. Literally no flavor. Mind you, I never leave reviews ever, this might actually be my first review, but I am so annoyed I had to leave one. I’m actually so mad we had to pay $40 for this slop. If it wasn’t Tuesday, I would have just went to Hong Kong buffet. You couldn’t pay me to return to this restaurant.

Chad and his team are AMAZING!!! The food is so delicious and the best part is walking in the door and feeling like you are welcome and pretty much treated as family. I even go a little early to pick my food up just to visit and see how happy everyone at the counter is. Thank you so much Chad for bringing this restaurant back !!!

We were blown away by the Christmas decorations as soon as we walked in. The service was fantastic. We come about once a week, and this was the fastest service we’ve ever received which is especially appreciated with young kids. Our food was amazing, as always. Chad, the owner, even gave each of my kids a dollar to play the claw machine. Everything was great! Highly recommend.

We hadn’t eaten there in quite a while, and we had dinner there tonight. It was absolutely delicious. Owner spoke with The owner and the staff was very attentive. Food was really delicious. I had Peking beef a new addition to their menu. I will be back and I will be ordering that again. My husband helped me eat some of mine and he will be ordering that again.

Peking is back! The food, the flavor, the service, the atmosphere. We hadn’t been there in a while. The food quality was diminishing and the music selection was off putting. I love country music, it just didnt match the atmosphere.
This time was so different, I said to my dad, “Wow, that looks good, fresh- when the food came out” Everything tasted great like the old Peking and the service was efficient, kind and patient. Our server Jessica R was funny, friendly and came to the table the perfect number of times, always making sure we had everything we needed. Whatever Peking is doing, it is doing it right again. If you haven’t been there in a while, go!, you will be pleasantly surprised.

We stopped in at Peking tonight for the most delicious dinner. We’ve always loved Peking in years past and we weren’t disappointed tonight. We were greeted by a the very Michelle who seated us promptly and took our drink order. Our server brought our drinks, then took our order and served our hot Mongolian beef & broccoli & beef in what seem like a few minute. I’m sure it was longer. Please ty of delicious food with plenty leftover for tomorrow’s lunch per my husband. On our way out of the restaurant we met the “new” owner Chad. He has taken a local icon in Muscatine and bringing it back with the same flavors and possibly new ones with plans for remodeling. Congratulations Chad! It was a pleasure meeting you tonight! Best of luck in your exciting plans with Peking!

My kids and I are obsessed with the sizzling rice soup and have been going back for years just for that ,highly recommend! They offer many other delicious plates , another favorite of ours being the spicy garlic chicken , and the egg rolls ! Can’t recommend enough!
