Not rating atmosphere because we ordered takeout. Being from up North, I started eating here, I believe when they first opened. My niece lived in Dacula and recommended it. I would travel all the way from Lawrenceville, because it was truly NY style! Over the years the food quality has deteriorated. We hadn’t eaten there in a few years and thought we’d give it a try today. Worst money spent! My first inclination it wasn’t going to be good was, our order was large order and my husband returned to the car too fast (we didn’t call ahead). Believe the food was recooked/reheated. The General TSO tasted like the chicken was fried in fish grease. The Egg Foo Young looked and tasted like it was made with egg substitutes. The egg rolls were horrible. Peking take heed of the reviews from your up North customers (I see a few). We know what quality Chinese food tastes like and this isn’t it!! Out of tries with me, never going back!! Disappointed!!

Honestly what’s the point of being open until 10 if you don’t want to serve people at 9:30? I called in my order and the lady on the phone rushed me, when I asked if I could add vegetables they hung up. She asked me if I could be there within 10 minutes, when I said yes she said “then whats our address?” When I finally get there, I ask again does the food come with vegetables. She hesitated and sat there in my face and told me there was some broccoli. I get home and there’s ONE piece of broccoli like are you kidding me, I have photo proof. The food isn’t even good don’t come here.

My husband & I love Peking in Dacula off Fence RD. They are always so nice and the food is sooooo good. I will not go anywhere else because they are the only ones around that I find have the Veggie Eggrolls, most places just offer the spring rolls but this place Has the BEST Veggie Eggrolls. That alone keeps us going.

I was craving spicy Chinese, so I ordered some Hot and Sour Soup, Szechuan Pork. They were all delicious. The soup may be the best H&S soup I’ve had in the past two years: good sour, good heat that wasn’t from hot sauce that a lot of Chinese restaurants have started screwing up their soup with. The rice was a nice short grained rice, properly cooked. The szechuan pork is the “Americanized” version of Twice-Cooked Pork, but it was a spot on version; the sauce was slightly sweet and then nice and spicy, and I could even detect some star anise probably from some five spice powder.There was lots of lean pork with nice bright vegetables. Delivery was great, and the food arrived hot.

I didn’t have my wallet with me, so I used Beyond Menu to order from my phone, which is great because that app has Android Pay capability. 15 minutes later, the food arrived at the pool, and everything was hot and tasted great. We ordered Chicken Lo Mein and Mu Shu Pork. Lots of food that fed the three of us.

I ordered the Steamed Shrimp/Chicken and Vegetables, Steamed Shrimp and Vegetables, and Shrimp Fried Rice(extra Shrimp and Egg) and they all were good. You definitely can’t complain about the portions they give you and the large Shrimp really caught my eyes. The prices, phone service, and delivery service was great. I’m glad that my first time trying Peking was outstanding, thank you Peking.

They clearly reheat their food. None of it is fresh and the hot and sour soup is SOOO thick, like gelatin almost. My first time coming here bc Chen’s Garden was closed, definitely will not be back.
