I’ve never been here before. Chinese food in Alabama isn’t the best. This restaurant is beautiful inside, the people are awesome and the food is amazing. I just ordered one of their lunch specials and it was prepared very quickly. They also have potsticker sauce, which is a blend of white vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil and that is also hard to find here.Thank you Peking Garden

For starters I was surprised that the food was really good. I’ve been passing this restaurant for quite some time and decided to finally stop by. This restaurant although it does need a lot of upgrades. His pretty decent food. It looks like at one point they may have had a buffet but right now you can only dine in or takeout. I decided to dine in and the menu was very small and limited, but my choice that I did end up with was the sizzling Singapore chicken it came with steam rice, but I opted for the fried rice, which is basic fried rice that they served me in a bowl I also had the option to choose egg drop soup or wonton soup. I went ahead and got the egg drop soup my wait time wasn’t too bad to get my food. I may have waited about 15 minutes once I got my food. It was pretty much a hit as far as the food goes This restaurant is pretty small and not very appealing to the eye so if you go for aesthetics, you probably wanna pass on this place the waiter who served my food was also pretty pleasant and was really knowledgeable on the type of food and different flavors and things that it came with overall, I give this place about a four considering the atmosphere was really dull. It was kind of dingy inside, but the food was pretty good. Last but not least the price so the price of the food wasn’t overall bad I in total paid about $19 altogether the food itself was OK. I probably would’ve paid a little less somewhere else, but considering that I haven’t had Singapore sizzling chicken served on a hot plate before I gave it a try

The crab angels were good. The orange chicken was ok but they charged me $10.50 to sub rice for lo mein and acted like I should have known a substitution would cost me an entire extra meal.

If you’ve ever been to Peking Garden you know the layout of the dining room. We were taken past several open tables and seated in the “upper” section of the dining room. There were a few white patrons seated in the “lower” section. I felt like we were intentionally being seated away from them. Shortly after they left, another party of 2 African American females came in, and just like us, they were seated in the “upper” section…even though no one was in the lower section. I felt as if I had taken a seat in the 1950’s. I don’t care how good the food was, I was treated like I wasn’t good enough to sit where white people sit. I’ve come to the conclusion that my money isn’t good enough to spend there… NEVER GOING BACK

My family & I absolutely love Peking Garden & have for near 50 years !! It’s our favorite place to eat Chinese food & the menu is awesome . The wall decor is so beautiful & seating has both tables & booths . The waiters are very kind & good as well . You can watch them shelling beans & preparing their own vegetables ️ . The atmosphere is so warm & happy there & we love it . Amy the original owner has like semi retired but pops in when she is up to it . It’s family owned & operated .

Things have definitely changed since covid and I feel they are cheating people. I paid almost 40 dollars, I wanted chicken fried rice with one order of chicken and lo mein with another of chicken,I got 3 containers of white rice with the chicken and pissed I am! After calling the restaurant once discovering this at home,I was told an order of chicken fried rice and lo mein would be extra side order, That was my last time supporting

This place was very nice. The lady at the front was very sweet and the food was delicious. There was a water fountain but I didn’t get a picture of it. I will add one on my next visit.

The best Chinese food you’ll ever have! The only restaurant that’s remained open, under the same management, and ownership for the past 30+ years. There’s a good reason. It’s because it’s the BEST!

Have enjoyed Peking Garden for years. The service is always friendly. The have a pretty good selection on the buffet. The items on the buffet are kept fresh. It’s an older restaurant but it still gets the job done. The menu items are also very good. Call in orders are handled fast, which is great for lunch. I brought mother here a lot and I will always remember the friendliness of the staff.
