Full warning I am not a fanboy of the Hibachi experience, and that is what we came here for. This is not a review of the actual buffet Chinese restaurant. I don’t mind Hibachi, but would not seek it out. I find that it makes the food too hard to customize between diners and leaves the food over seasoned in general. If you like everything tasting like salt, sugar and fat you can’t go wrong.
The low score in service is not representative of anyone person, but what is clearly an over booked and understaffed restaurant. We arrived early in the evening and had good service up until the end of our meal. It became clear that our waitress was working as a hostess as well, and as we were leaving they were about fifty people waiting to be seated. I can only imagine how much service deteriorated after that. The restaurant charges an automatic 18 percent service charge, which isn’t that big of deal to me but at that price point more servers are needed.
The restaurant while decorated nicely, but is basically an open area making it way too bright and way too loud. More like a dining hall than a restaurant.

Sharing our meal here was the high point of our extended weekend. Everything was hot, fresh, colorful and delicious. I loved the hibachi offerings and my selections were finished beautifully. My favorite part of our visit was our server, Kim. Her joy turned my day around. We will definitely visit again!

I would give 6 stars if I could. Definitely the best Chinese food within a 2 hour radius of Norton, VA. The staff and owner was extremely nice and the buffet bar stayed clean and full. I would definitely recommend!

I stopped by to pick up some dinner to go food at this location. Once inside, I asked the cashier how much a to go plate per pound would cost. He said $8.25/lb. After I asked about the price, I then noticed the scale was set to $8.25/lb. I went to the buffet and picked up some food for takeout.
When I got back to the front checkout, an older oriental lady had changed the price to $10.25/lb. on the scale! This was quite a shock, given that I had a total of three plates! I was not happy with the outcome. This business practice is very questionable.
This will be my last visit to Peking. I recommend for others to try one of the other restaurants nearby.

I only give this resteraunt 1 star for cleanliness. This is the worst Asian cuisine resteraunt iv had in my life. My wife and I attempted a salad first, the lettuce was white and yellow. The cucumbers were soft in the middle like they had been frozen and thawed. The cottage cheese was very mushy grainy texture like light cottage cheese that’s been refridgerated too long. Next I noticed sushi was just added to the sushi bar, the sushi rice had a crunch to it where the rice was not cooked. The hot bar was barely warm and the chicken was hard and had been over cooked. All the hot food was drowned in sauce and tasted absolutely horrid. Why anyone would rate this above a 1 is beyond me. After expressing my complaints not even a discount was given for the unsatisfactory dining experience provided. Total price for 2 with drinks was 36.00. The actual value of their food is worse than vending machine food. Do not try. This resteraunt should close.
