I ordered two lunch specials on Uber eats they’re supposed to come with a drink of soup and the entrée. There was no soup on either order. I ordered bourbon and orange chicken. There was no orange chicken on the plate. Don’t eat here when I called the girl on the phone said let me put my manager on the phone and hung up the phone in my face. The portion is small

Today was the first time I ever asked for a simple swap in the combo dinner soup: egg drop / wonton → hot & sour.

I called ahead and was told: “Sure, no problem.”

I place the order on Postmates (delivery), then call back to confirm the switch. That’s when the manager hits me with:

“Oh sorry, it’s $1.75 extra per dinner.”

Now let me be super clear: I’m not arguing over $1.75 like it’s my retirement plan. I’ll pay for upgrades all day.

What I won’t do is pay $1.75 for something your own menu says is a $0.50 difference… especially when it’s the same size soup.

So I asked the obvious question: Why is the upgrade (350%) higher price than the actual price difference?

And I got a hella excuses:
1. “The combo is discounted, so we have to charge more.”
Respectfully… what? That’s like me buying a value meal and you charging extra because it’s a value meal.

2. “Hot & sour has more ingredients.”
Okay. Where are you shopping—Erewhon? It’s tofu, mushrooms, and a couple sprouts. It’s not truffle foam. Chill.

3. “Labor cost is higher, we make it from scratch.”
It’s a restaurant, you have labor costs. I’m giving you money for you to make it, not me. Are you charging me for the chef’s emotional journey?

4. “It’s different from the menu soup.”
So I said, “Ohhh got it — for $1.75 more I get a bigger soup.”

Manager: “No sir, same size.”
…BRUH.

My problem:
-You approved the swap before I ordered
-You disclosed the fee after I ordered
-The menu shows ~$0.50 difference
-You wanted to charge me $1.75
-Same size, same combo, nothing else changes
……And nobody could explain it in a way that makes sense.

I even said I’m willing to pay a fair upcharge — but this wasn’t “upgrade pricing,” this was “because we said so” pricing.

After years of delivery fees, paying extra for sauces, and getting stingy with basics on large orders, it’s honestly impressive to lose a loyal customer over a $1.75 charge you can’t logically justify.

I’m sure you work hard. I’m sure customers can be difficult. But this was the most unintelligent conversation I’ve had with a business in a long time.

Never again.

(Will miss the NYC style Chinese food, even if other dinners found roaches in your food.)

It was disgusting inside and the health rating is 79. It’s nearly shutting down. If the area where customers can view looks this bad, i cannot imagine what the kitchen looks like… and i would have to imagine it because the kitchen is literally boarded off (to keep people from viewing). I would have LOVED to eat the food because it smells delicious, but because of the risk, I had to throw my food away.

This place has NY style Chinese takeout food. Best sesame chicken I’ve had in Miami, made with dark meat! Perfect flavor and texture. Rice is cheap, egg drop soup is good, dumplings are absolutely massive! Be aware you can’t eat inside the restaurant- takeaway only.

I wanted to keep this place to myself because of how good it is but I have to let Miami know that this is one of the best Chinese restaurants here in Miami …and they have in house delivery for free !! So I feel better about tipping the delivery driver , I order from this place at least 2-3 times a week now ..definitely 5 ⭐️

I had high hopes for this place based upon the reviews however after going inside I could not fathom eating the food. The whole place was a mess with expired food on the shelves & fridges that didn’t even look like they were on. The kitchen was boarded up! We checked the food health rating after ordering our food & immediately regretted it. A score of 79 is near closing down… Stay away!!! Or go inside & see for yourself….

PIECE OF ROACH IN THE FOOD !
I hate to come here do this review because I used to like the food. I got a take out for me and my boyfriend and everything was fine. When I was eating the food I was something weird and I couldn’t believe that was a piece of roach inside my food. I have fobia with roaches and got even worse now. I have abdominal pain and I feel nauseous, but what scares me the most is that I may have eaten the other piece of the insect without realizing. They refund the money but I still think that is not enough

This place is more than meets the eye. The food smells good as soon as you walk in the door and they have a great selection of tea! The food is not too greasy too.
