I rarely leave negative reviews unless the experience is truly bad and something people should be aware of, and unfortunately this Pei Wei location falls into that category. I don’t have high expectations for airport food, but this was shockingly poor. They did the absolute bare minimum while charging a very high price.
The chicken was overly sweet with a boring, one-note sauce, the rice was soggy, and there were no vegetables at all. I’ve been to other Pei Wei locations and some of them are actually pretty good, with balanced flavors and proper portions. This airport location really ruined my previous trust in them.
The food was bland, boring, and clearly not fresh. Paying around $15 for this felt like a complete ripoff. Honestly, it’s embarrassing that Pei Wei calls this Chinese food. This was easily the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had, and I feel customers deserve to be warned.

If you were looking for microwaved rice with meat that taste like saucy packing peanuts, this is your spot! “Is this chicken?” is what you’ll be asking yourself after you bite into the air filled, fried mystery meat atop a blanket of stuck together but not sticky rice at 7pm before a 4 hour flight. Enjoy!

This has to be the best airport food we have eaten. We had GLUTEN FREE firecracker tofu with rice. The flavour was amazing with the sauces we had. Very friendly staff. The lady from Chicago was so helpful helping me choose gluten free vegetarian.

The two young men preparing the food seemed entirely disinterested in its quality; I opted for two spring rolls solely because I was pressed for time and wanted something quick. Unfortunately, the spring rolls were burnt, but I felt compelled to eat them as I had no other option. I offered one to my dog, who typically eats anything, but even he refused it.

For airport food you get what you get, the cashier wasn’t very friendly at first but then seemed to warm up to us. Nice guy with red hair.
The food was better than Panda Express so I was happy, they ran out of fried rice though….. no good!
More seating would be better if they could make it work, lots of people crammed in this area.
All in all not a bad meal, a little pricey but not bad.

The food was horrible. The chicken tased like it was just sitting in a warmer for hours. Got the fried rice paid $3 more to have it. It was so bad I couldn’t even eat it. They put red bell peppers in the rice and that’s all I could taste.
They left there cleaning delivery on the counters and forced customers to seek seating a different place because of it. Im not going to eat there again!

Stopped in waiting for a flight. The food itself was surprisingly solid for a airport chain. The firecracker chicken was crunchy and gristle free, not over fried. The white rice was not dry or soggy, just regular ol’ decent white rice. The bourbon chicken portion was meager, but what was there was well cooked, not dry, and it did not just taste like Chinese food sweet brown sauce #46, had a little smoky sweet like bourbon glazed at big chains. If you’re in the airport and don’t want to go down the entire other wing to an overcrowded Panda Express it will satisfy your mid Chinese craving, maybe even slightly upper-mid.
Pro: nice staff made sure one order was rice free when the kiosk didn’t allow it.
Cons: fried rice out of stock, several soda flavors out of stock, counters pretty dirty which I usually don’t mind much, but had to wipe it down.

Pei Wei is a popular casual Asian restaurant and normally is pretty good. This airport location sits right in the middle of the A gates and shares a dining space with a couple of other restaurants. The people working here were inefficient and disinterested so there was a bit of a wait. Also, this location has a much smaller menu than most Pei Wei’s so there are only a few things here as options.

Honestly, I had low expectations because, well, this is the airport. We ordered orange chicken and firecracker tofu. When we opened our bag, I realized they had given me the firecracker chicken instead of tofu. No problem, I brought it to them and they remade my order right away. Staff moved quickly and efficiently which is all you can ask for at a takeout place at the airport. The food was pretty good too, for what it is. I feel well fed for my flight. I understand mistakes can happen, thanks for remaking my order!
