It sets in on the shadow of the Calico Mountains and was built from railroad ties and mortar from the nearby Union Pacific Rail yard. The Diner is located 10 miles North of Barstow on the I-15 Fwy at the Ghost Town Rd. exit halfway between Southern California and Las Vegas.

Small, 1950s-style diner with American classics such as meatloaf & chicken-fried steak on the menu.

I ordered the BLOB as it was highly recommended. The BLOB is pretty much a kitchen sink type of breakfast platter all piled up. The biscuits (dense, I actually took them out, come with 2), hash browns, scrambled eggs, white gravy, and topped with your choice of hickey bacon strip cuts or sausage.

So yesterday we was able to stop into the world’s famous Peggy Sue’s Diner . It was a great experience. So many famous people have been here and there’s pictures of them on the walls. Great food, atmosphere, staff and a rememberable experience! Also, they have a fantastic gift shop ! They also have a dinosaur themed park with turtles . This place is a must stop in!

This place is great! excellent atmosphere! love the trivia things on the table as talking points while you wait for your meal. The pond and Dino park behind is pretty cool. I loved it. We like to stop here on our way to California and back again. We will definitely be back.

I went 2 times, one time on Tuesday and the wait was 45 mins so I couldn’t go, and then I went again on Thursday and I Loved it! The statues were such a good part of the diner. The fortune teller was pretty cheap, there was another one in big bear for a dollar so the 50 cent one was pretty cool. And the stuff at the gift shop isn’t that expensive to be honest. And the food was great! It was very filling which was good! And the vibe that the place gives off is very calming

Don’t miss this amazing place ! Easy to reach (very close to the freeway), this is a real time machine ! Congrats for the crazy atmosphere you’ve managed to create. The waitress is at her top ! The meal is so delicious (I’ve tested the bacon-eggs-cheese sandwich). To sum up : that’s a perfect 10 !

We finally stopped at Peggy Sue’s Diner on our way home from Vegas after years of driving past it. We were surprised at how big the place was, and we loved the feel of the place. We enjoyed our food, and the staff was great and friendly. We will definitely stop here again in the future.

First time here even though we’ve passed it all of my life since I was a child! Beautiful decor of you love 50’s and every era after! The decor is nastalgic! Cute, fun and lively. The girl in the gift shop was really nice. Now onto the food! Food is nasty! Salad was just lettuce drowned in salad dressing. Fried chicken dinner was flavorless. The mash and gravy tasted weird, mash tasted boxed, green beans tasted canned and the cherry coke tasted funny. My bf didn’t like his cheeseburger and his curly fries were so nasty, flavorless. It was gross. I don’t know how they’ve stayed in business with food this horrible! Our server was also not so friendly! I got a rhubarb/strawberry pie for the road and finally something that tasted decent! This place is basically just a fun place to see things and that’s about it!
