Had heard many great reviews so decided to try it out…. Turned out to be average. While my omelette was hot and good…. Other people in our group of 4 said their food was cold.

Got the breakfast tacos with hash brown overall was good however the steam from the food trapped in the container causing my shells to just fall apart. I had to re plate on different shells.

Staff was nice and friendly

Unfortunately chose this establishment for a commercial watch party (my first one) for breakfast with family and friends 2/28/2026. I should have chose elsewhere the first time the manager with the cheetah print shoes spoke to me in a condescending tone when I was simply asking questions about the process. Despite my hesitation I went ahead and made the reservation since they would be one of the only breakfast places open as early as the commercial was set to air.

I ignored her first couple rude remarks to focus on the day and make sure the milestone was filled with positivity. When asked for an item to raise my computer we were watching on I asked another staff to avoid this manager’s negative demeanor and she intercepted the request and told the staff to go do another task instead and took over the request. She initially said they didn’t have anything instead of atleast checking, after I asked again she said she would check. I ended up asking my server Erin (who did an amazing job) instead in order to not have to deal with this managers constant attitude.

There were several miscommunications back to back on the restraunt’s behalf(a time limit on large parties?(non event) A $60 fee every half hour in which you go over, and being allowed to play the commercial on my devices). NONE of the three in which were told to me neither when I came in person to see (in which this manager was the one who was talking to me) or when I called to make the reservation, which lead to the manager ultimately coming over to our table to to rush us out of the restaurant because she wanted to place another party at the tables as she stated out loud.

I politely pulled her to the side for a private discussion about my extreme displeasure with this service and overall experience and as I’m (calmly mind you) making my points she decided to: cut me off, talk to me in a condescending manner, and began speaking to me in a loud tone, and accused me of never telling the restraunt my plans to play the commercial out loud in the restraunt, which is absolutely untrue. When I called to make the reservation and give the final headcount I asked for permission to play the commercial on my device as I knew it would be louder than the average conversation. Cherry on top during this conversation the commercial finally aired, therefore most of my family and I missed it. This manager and restraunt should be ashamed.

I told this manager that these miscommunications were consistently on the restraunt’s behalf, and that her condescending tone and negative energy was highly unappreciated, and due to her terrible attitude she was ruining what was supposed to be a good day. I informed her even if I initially had permission to play the commercial out loud, if it was too loud she or any other staff could have communicated this instead of treating me and my guests poorly. She approached our table loudly presenting the $60 fee as a nudge out instead of offering to extend our time for a $60 fee. There is a difference and delivery matters.

EXTREMELY disappointing and highly unacceptable. My family, friends and myself will never return.

Great brunch spot with lots of food and drink options, with the bonus of cocktails. Service was efficient and friendly, and the spot is clean and well laid out. Definitely a spot to check out downtown. It does get busy but they move people along at a nice pace that isnt rushed but makes it so you dont have to wait too long to get a table.

As a Seattle transplant, I know a good breakfast when I see one, and Peg’s Diner in downtown South Bend absolutely hits the mark! If you’re craving a classic, no-fuss, delicious breakfast, this is your spot. Every time I go, I leave satisfied, just solid, comforting diner food done right.

I recently had the pleasure of having brunch here and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The food was outstanding; I ordered the chicken and waffles, which were absolutely delicious. The service was equally remarkable. Our server, Kaitlyn, made us feel right at home, treating us as if we were locals. She even complimented our order, affirming that we made excellent choices. I would happily return here for breakfast anytime. Highly recommended! See more pictures in my insta @Foodysacram

Sunday morning breakfast omelette was outstanding! The folksy music set the perfect atmosphere for this old hippie and my server, Brea, was totally on point and brought my meal within three minutes of placing my order — no kidding. And the fresh juiced vegetable Island Blush was the icing on the cake. I recommend EVERYONE try Pegg’s!

PEGGs is the quintessential breakfast and lunch restaurant. I had a breakfast burrito and potatoes. It was one of the best breakfast dishes I’ve ever had. Just delicious. The service was exceptional and friendly. The restaurant, while being a family restaurant, is a relaxing place to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend you stop by for a meal.

Came here 3 times for breakfast during a game day weekend and boy they didn’t disappoint at all. Service was fast despite the rush of people and the food was excellent. I had the gluten free pancakes and an omelette (on separate days of course because they were very filling). The staff was kind and knowledgable, going above and beyond to accommodate for food allergies.
