If you’re a spice lover, this place is about to become your new obsession.

This is hands-down one of my husband’s absolute favorite dishes—and he doesn’t play around when it comes to heat. He always asks Pedro to make it Extra-Extra Spicy, and every single time, Pedro delivers without hesitation.

On the left, you’ve got the Shrimp Eduardo—succulent shrimp bursting with bold, mouthwatering garlic flavor, served with perfectly cooked rice and fresh, vibrant veggies. It’s rich, savory, and completely satisfying.

On the right, the star for heat seekers: the Shrimp Diablo. Made with homemade spices (yes, homemade!), this dish packs serious fire and unforgettable flavor. And if you really love the burn, just ask for it extra spicy—they won’t hold back.

We’ve tried Shrimp Diablo all over town, and too many places rely on canned sauce shortcuts. Not here. You can taste the difference in every bite—fresh, authentic, and made with care.

If you’re craving big flavor, real spice, and a dish that keeps you coming back for more, this is the one. ️

Amazing chef that will customize your order as much as possible. The shrimp and other seafood options are probably the best in town.
This is not a large place so reservations are highly suggested.

We returned here after being blown away by in eleven years ago and it did not disappoint!! (Ok, I was a bit sad they no longer had a seashell floor but they had preserved some of the shells in floor tiles.) Same incredible food (husband and I had grilled shrimp and son a whole fried grouper with mushroom sauce). Same great tequila. Same incredible service. Beautiful sunset from our outdoor table right by the water.

Food was fresh and fantastic! Starting with the homemade chips and salsa, fresh guacamole, great margaritas! The beef tacos were great and the garlic fish to die for. At the outset of our dining experience we had a couple vendors swing in to try to sell us sweets/empanadas/music, but after that it quieted down and we enjoyed a great lunch with no interruptions and fantastic food (we did buy some dessert empanadas, will try later). Definitely recommend!

Pedro’s is a wonderful little restaurant on the Malecon right on the water. Great food, service and reasonable prices. If they don’t have it on the menu, Pedro will try to create what you want. Our last visit there one of us felt like a burrito. Pedro made a fabulous carne asada burrito! The clam steamers are very good with the herb butter dipping sauce and the calamari yumm.

Very small restaurant in the Malecón, Food is excellent, always fresh. Service is great, they do a good job with presentation. We usually have the Avocado surprise and ceviche tostadas. Indoor or outdoor dining, but only a few tables outside. View is amazing

Amazing food, service and hospitality. We have lunch here 2 days in a row and the food is the best! From Arizona, we wanted to find a place that was true Mexican food and this is that place. Nothing but the best.

We were actually attempting to go to a different restaurant, but it was unexpectedly closed when we arrived. Pedro saw us and beckoned us towards his restaurant, which was out of sight, and we reluctantly agreed since we were hungry. It ended up being some of the best food we had the entire trip! The owner was very hospitable, the margheritas were great (and strong), and the food was phenomenal. We will absolutely be coming back here next time we’re in town. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot.

Stay away from this place. The service was horrible from the start. Not only were our orders raw, the service and the way the staff spoke to us was incredibly rude.

The food is mediocre and bland for the high price point.
