I made a stop at Mayela’s Restaurant for the first time before a long hike in the nearby forest and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a stuffed sopapilla with ground beef and red chile, it came with a sopapilla on the side with honey. Both were very tasty and worth ordering again on my next visit. The service was very good as well. Cheers to Mayela!

Great basic New Mexican fare. Really liked the Chicharrón burrito. Both crisp and chewy. Green source was not too hot, but tasty. Source for chips was satisfyingly hot.

We stopped here on our way back from camping in the Pecos for a quick bite to eat and were not disappointed. The food was very tasty (we opted for mostly New Mexican cuisine, although the french fries that came with the kids meals were excellent as well), the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and we will probably visit again when next we have the chance. Despite the fact that there was no sit-down dining due to COVID-19, we enjoyed our visit and the food thoroughly.
