It’s been a minute since I’ve let myself indulge in Korean fried chicken, but I’ve been hearing about Peck Peck since I moved to the area. Every time someone sang its praises, I had to wonder, ‘Really? The best fried chicken comes out of THAT space?’ Because every time I passed by it, it looked quiet or closed or both.
But don’t let appearances fool you. It’s very, very good.
To get straight to it, the wings are the way to go here. I ordered both the wings and the boneless tenders to give this place the old college try, and while the tenders are impressive in size and heft (and I personally like them because I don’t have to work around a bone), I found the wings to be far more tender and flavorful. I also found that the tenders were far quicker to lose their fried crunchification. I also tried both the soy garlic and sweet and spicy flavors, and both are incredible. If you put a gun to my head and made me choose one, I’d have to pick the soy garlic, but I love the way these sauces aren’t lathered onto each piece. There’s just enough brushed on so that you can appreciate both the flavor and the texture of the chicken.
The fries here are the wedge type. Think KFC, but fresher and less salty. Also, don’t sleep on the pickled veg. I know it sounds nuts to buy pickled veggies from a fried chicken place, but it’s a staple for classic Korean fried chicken dinners to cleanse the greasy palate with something acidic. I love the medley of veg they use here, and I loved the pickling juice so much, I actually found myself sipping it between bites (don’t judge me).
There’s a small parking lot on the side of the building that might accommodate three or four cars at most. And that might be by design, because three or four parties is probably the most that could dine in this tiny restaurant. But as many have already shared, the owners here are so sweet and friendly, it’s a gift to spend any amount of time with them, even in this teacup-sized dining room. Those who choose to takeout or deliver will be pleased to know that Peck Peck Chicken knows how to to package freshly fried things correctly – that is, with intentionally aerated containers so that you won’t lose all that beautiful crisp as the food makes its way home.

The owners are so nice! The chicken is the best — perfectly crispy on the outside and meaty on the inside. The batter is light, not too thick, and the flavor is amazing. Highly recommend Peck Peck Chicken!

Peck Peck is an absolute must-visit. The wings were to die for – the perfect balance of flavor and crunch. The rice bowl and peckwich were equally impressive. And the customer service? Top-notch! They made me feel like I was part of the family. It’s a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommend it!

Hands down the best Korean fried chicken in NJ. The menu is simple and straight to the point — just three flavors, and they nail every one of them. Get the wings with a side of steak fries and you won’t regret it.
The space is small and fills up quickly, so I highly recommend placing your order about 30 minutes ahead for takeout to avoid the chaos. One thing to note is their unusual schedule, they’re closed every other day so be sure to check before heading over.
That said, once you finally get your hands on the chicken, all the minor hassles are forgotten. It’s absolutely worth the effort.

Peck Peck was recommended to me from someone who lives in the area. When you first look at the place you wouldn’t think good food comes from it but it does! The chicken was great! Cooked to perfection not too hard but not too soft either! I usually like my chicken extras saucy but this time it wasn’t and I was fine still.

One of the best if not the best Korean chicken places in the area. Small shop with small kitchen so you’ll want to order ahead. Wait times can be up to 1 hour. Tenders, wings, bowls, salads are all top tier. The sandwich is also very good and very filling. Definitely a must try spot for any chicken enjoyer.

BEST KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN IN JERSEY!!!!
Absolutely worth the hype and more. When I saw them flouring the chicken, sitting out the excess flour, then hand painting each piece by hand after frying, I knew it was gonna be good!
I had the sweet and spicy wings with a side of honey mayo and it was absolutely FIRE!
A must stop if you’re in the area. If I lived close, I’d be here every week!!!
Also, the owner’s son Brian, was really pleasant and friendly.

Don’t be fooled by the small space this place is throwing out some seriously good chicken. I got the large chicken strips (6 pieces) and I was definitely not disappointed. This box came with 2 different sauces (I did not get salt and pepper because obviously nothing special). Both were so good and I can not pick between them so my advice would be to just get them both. My only complaint is that the sauces were so good I wish the chicken was flooded with it. The crispness of each bite mixed with the flavor made you keep going in for more. The size of each chicken strip was also insane. Just 2 strips made me full but unfortunately was unable to control myself since they were so good and ate another. Thankfully I didn’t order anything else because I honestly didn’t have the room but I definitely will be back to try more things. I did takeout and called ahead which made things smooth and easy. There is a very small sit down area so if that’s what you’re looking for be aware if its around busy times. Great food and priced fairly for what you get. The staff was friendly and were excited for me to try it for the first time which made me excited as well. Great experience and I will be sure to see you soon peck peck.

My husband and I have wanted to try this place out for a while out now. Everyone he knows raves about this place. We called ahead to place an order and so glad we did. When I checked out the menu it also says call ahead as all orders are made fresh and there’s about a 20min wait. It’s a cute little place, few tables, but we got lucky because once we arrived a table had just opened up. The ambiance is warm and cozy, and Brian was such a delight from the moment we walked in. You almost feel like you’ve known him forever. We ordered the wings and they were fantastic. Super crispy, juicy, very flavorful and not drowned in sauce. We had the opportunity of trying all the flavors and fries and not one was a disappointment. Still can’t decide which was my favorite lol. They also have sandwiches and bowls on the menu and we’re excited to go back and try those out as well. Thank you again, you guys are great! See you again soon!
