10/10 would recommend.
Great quality of food, decent price, friendly and passionate staff.
Considering how much fast-food chains like McD and Wendy’s charge for a burger nowadays, it puzzles me why anyone would want to go there instead of supporting an independent, locally owned busines like this place. It’s almost an insult to compare this or even mentioning McD in the same sentence when you’re taking about burgers.

Nicely renovated. Burger is delicious. Salt and pepper on point to not ruin the burger. Softest yet thickest bun for smash Burger is a positive surprise.

Overall very good and met expectations for the price. Very well worth visiting if these types of burgers are your thing. I had the small poutine and original single burger. Would come back again when I’m in Ottawa.

Pearson Street – Smash Burgers N’ Melts is exactly what you want in a burger spot—straightforward, flavorful, and welcoming. I went for a classic smash burger with fries, and it absolutely hit the mark. The burger had that perfect crispy edge and juicy bite that makes a smash burger so addictive, and the fries were golden, crisp, and well-seasoned.
The atmosphere had an easygoing, neighborhood vibe that made it feel instantly comfortable, and the service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do, both in the kitchen and at the table.

If you’re in Ottawa and craving a smash burger done right, Pearson Street is worth the stop. Great food, great vibe, and great people behind it all.

The burger and fries were amazing! We enjoyed the Smashburger very much and had just the right amount of veg and sauce to bun and burger. Our bill was just over $40 including tip for 2 burgers, a lg fry, and 2 sodas. We will definitely be back!

I had no issues with the burger. Burger was fine. A little small but it was fine. What I had an issue with was the gentlemen behind the counter. I’m a patron of the old restaurant that used to be here. I came here expecting some information on food. Since it’s my first experience at a smash burger. I got the hot and smoky double which felt like a single. There was 2 of us. So there should have been two of everything and with a bill of almost $60 I figured we got two of everything well I was wrong. Not only did I not like the experience. I felt like I was over charged, there’s not much here to account for the price regarding atmosphere. But I wish them well. Have a great day.

Edit: My review was my experience at your establishment. If you don’t like it tough luck. I said what I said and I moved on. The owner of Pearson saying I’m only trying to damage a small business. I support family businesses. Small business too. But I’m also extremely honest. Sorry bub.

Stopped in after work, as someone mentioned to me this place was worth trying. I ordered the double Pearson Street smash burger and a regular fry.
Jumped into the fries first. Not sure if they double fry them or not, but they were really crispy. Not overdone though.
The burger was huge! Very nicely done with fresh tomato and lettuce. Had great flavour and was also perfectly cooked.
Will need to try their melts next as they sounded really good.

I had to try this place after seeing other people’s reviews and pictures of their food. They did not disappoint! Great quality and flavour. I tried the Original smash burger and a small poutine, they were both GREAT! I’ll definitely be going back to try the rest of the menu.

If you’re in Ottawa or Embrun and haven’t been to Pearson Street Burger, you are seriously missing out.

We stopped in recently and WOW doesn’t even cut it. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger and it was hands down one of the juiciest, most flavour-packed burgers I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, rich and savoury, loaded with sautéed mushrooms and melty Swiss that complemented the beef beautifully without overpowering it. Every bite was better than the last.

My husband went with the Hot & Smokey and it was just as incredible — bold, smoky, with just the right amount of heat to keep things interesting without overwhelming the flavour of the burger itself. You could taste the quality and care in every ingredient.

And here’s the real test: we didn’t even manage to take a photo for this review before diving in. Zero hesitation.

The burgers here are clearly made with pride, the flavours are perfection, it’s the kind of place you immediately start planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your meal. Absolute 10/10.

First time visiting Pearson Street and it did NOT disappoint!
We tried their special cranberry brie burger which had a cranberry onion jam, brie, we went with 2 smashed patties and split it.. should’ve each gotten our own! The flavours worked so amazingly and the patties were cooked to perfection!
As a side we HAD to try their poutine knowing that they have a chip truck in the summer and we miss chip truck poutine in the winter as the trucks are normally the best poutines. This poutine was no exception, fries were crispy to the end, plenty of curds and a very flavourful gravy. Met Chris and Chris(the owners) and had a great chat with them, absolutely awesome people. Highly recommend visiting.
