The food was wonderful. The service was great. We really enjoyed our meal here. I ordered the porkchop, Mac and cheese fries and corn bread. My husband ordered the fried chicken, fried okra, fries and corn bread. We had split the banana pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious. I know we’ll definitely eat here again if we’re in Laurel.

Found this place on our travels. Apparently its an icon in Laurel so we thought we try it. Super busy. Waited a long time in line. Staff were nice and to the point. They didnt dilly dally around when it came time to take your order. It’s helpful if you know what you want before getting to the counter to order.
The food was ok. Was it the best I’ve ever had? No. Was it good enough to rave on and on about? No But it was ok. Might need to try it again sometime.

This was an ok place to eat our lunch. We ordered our food at the counter, found a sest and waited for our food. It wasn’t very long, maybe 15 – 20 minutes.
The food was good. I had fried chicken, beans, and boiled cabbage.
The decore was a corner store type building from the 1930’s. It doesn’t look like it has been remodeled since then. It was clean but didn’t feel clean because of the dark wood.
The men’s room also very dated and it seemed clean.
Our family had a good time here. However, I’m not sure that I’d be really fast to go back. I’d have to try some of the other places in Laurel Mississippi.

This is such a special place. It’s only open 3 hours a day and I can see why. They have some of the best fried chicken I think I have ever eaten. Their sweet corn and banana pudding is out of this world. Everything was great but these 3 things I would eat everyday if I lived there. I got to meet Ms. Pearl’s sister who was so nice. I bought her cookbook so let’s see if I can copy hers. All the employees were so friendly.

Wow! This is the first time we’ve ever eaten in a restaurant only open three hours a day, 11:00 AM – 2 PM. We were told to get there early. Because Pearl’s served the best fried chicken I’ve ever had.

I loved this place. What gem. The food was sooo good. Atmosphere over the top. MS Pearl autographed a copy of her recipe book and visited us a few minutes. A must go.

Perfect place for that down home Southern cooking! EVERYTHING was wouth wateringly, tasty! Not a single complaint about anything! Service was wonderful too, our 8 year old was able to take her time and order without feeling rushed, which was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be back when I crave fried chicken and mac n cheese!

The best fried chicken I’ve eaten in a very long time! The Mac and cheese and banana pudding are amazing, too. Don’t forget your sweet tea!

We had the best meal at Pearl’s Diner! Got there right around opening and no wait. Staff were extremely kind and enthusiastic. Between my husband and I we got fried chicken, chicken tenders, mac and cheese, fried okra, black eyed peas, both cornbreads, and banana pudding. All were delicious, fresh, made to order. My only regret is not being there on meatloaf day because I love a good meatloaf. We will be back when we are next in Laurel!

I’m not from the South but, y’all, this food is so good! I thoroughly enjoyed everything on my plate! I got the fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and squash. The jalapeno cornbread was amazing! The chicken was crisp and the breading was light. Companion got the cabbage and rice with gravy. She said the cabbage wasn’t cooked enough but some people like it that way. She really enjoyed the rice and gravy. After eating all that, there was no room left for dessert, unfortunately.
The people were nice and friendly and the food was served quickly.
I definitely recommend!
