The Pearl Thai Restaurant it was good place for Thai foods !! There is somethingI recently dined at Pearl Thai Cuisine and was blown away by their delicious Thai dishes. The fried calamari was perfectly crispy and seasoned just right. The spicy crispy pork belly was a standout dish with its tender meat and flavorful spice. The fresh rolls were a refreshing and light option, packed with fresh ingredients. Overall, the Thai food at Pearl Thai Cuisine was top-notch and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious dining experience. about a room that is decorated with real chandeliers that I like

We called in our order before arriving, and I’ll admit—it was the easiest table experience ever. Our food was brought out once, and that was the full extent of the service.

The food itself was decent, but the portions were surprisingly small—about half the size of what we’re used to at other Thai places—and prices were roughly 30% higher. What really surprised us was the automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill. We were two adults and three kids (ages 6–11), and when I asked about it, they said it’s their policy for parties of five or more. For a meal where no additional service was provided, that felt excessive.

It might work for some, but between the pricing, portion size, and added gratuity, we won’t be back.

Pearl Thai in Benicia is like a culinary journey to Thailand with its flavorful main dishes that can satisfy that Thai food craving.

The cozy atmosphere wraps you in a warm, mom-and-pop embrace, making it feel like a home away from home. However, when they are busy, it seems like they may need just an extra hand.

Now, let’s talk about the Tom Yum soup—it’s the Thai food litmus test, right? This one had me doing a culinary double-take. It felt like it was playing hide-and-seek with tomatoes, and the spice level was on a mild vacation. I’m all for a flavor adventure, but this soup needed a bit more Thai kick to dance on my taste buds.

But hey, the angel wings, the seafood plate, and the shrimp pad Thai? And other dishes were good. They were like a Thai food orchestra hitting all the right notes. So, despite the Tom Yum detour, Pearl Thai knows how to deliver a tasty symphony on your plate.

Update February 2026 12 times, 5 in and 7 deliveredin the last half year and I have to say they have upped their game. Their food is excellent although they really ought to do a homemade spring roll because it does taste like it’s from a frozen package and very mushy on the inside.
Their fish I think it’s trout is very tasty although the tail that served was not deboned as it should be so not to lodge a small bone in your throat. I love the way that they do the panang curry with the kaffir lime leaf! That’s my favorite to get chicken with vegetables or tofu with vegetables or just vegetables I asked for a medium because they’re medium is still mild and if you order hot it would be American hot not Thai hot lol.
Enjoy the cleanliness and the aesthetics inside. Looking out at cars is not great but you may see people stroll by. They have gorgeous artwork and they have a very nice Buddhist Shrine which I appreciate. The sea bass was cooked absolutely perfectly other than the tail not being deboned. It was delicious and sumptuous! I would personally love to see a little bit more fresh basil and cilantro added to dishes because as well as lime for the pad thai which is much better than lemon in my Humble Home Chef opinion. Oh and I happen to have the chance to meet Pearl the owner of the restaurant a young woman who actually graduated the same year with my daughter at Benicia High. She was very warm and gracious as is her father!

Very solid overall. For being in a strip mall, they do a nice job with a relatively small space. I had a soup with chicken broth rice noodles and vegetables and also Chilean sea bass. For me, the star was the soup! I would like to see fresher fish for an entree and to be less well done. The presentation was beautiful and I appreciated the julienned kaffir lime leaf on top I was there 5 minutes before 3:00 on a Sunday and they were wanting to close to have a break before their dinner service. I did get hustled out so my tip to you is don’t get there towards the end of their service.

This is a not a Black friendly establishment. The staff are prejudice. I went to enjoy a simple meal and was met with not a good vibe. Racism should not be tolerated and my wife and I will not be coming back. Beware!!!

I was left disappointed after eating here. I had heard such good things about this Thai restaurant. Came here with my GF to have dinner. Found a black hair in the pad Thai and the food was cold. Which was worrying, won’t becoming back.

A solid restaurant for everyday folk.
Great food. Reasonable prices.
Warm and attentive service.
We had an ample dinner for 4 for about $100.
That included some appetizers.
3 of us are vegan and one had a food allergy.
They gracefully took our order and modified what they served to fit.
I had the pra rahm. Excellent.
Note that several of the customers were speaking with the staff in their language.
There are a lot of nice places in Benicia down by the pier on 1st Street. If you are in the mood for Thai, this place is great. It is in a normal mall with ample parking and is a short drive back to the town center if you want. Town center is fun any time, made more fun when there is a market or something.

Food is mediocre at best. The drunken noodles was soggy and swimming in sauce. They forgot to put the noodles in the spring rolls, so it was just lettuce wrapped in rice paper. Pad Thai is too sweet.
We’ve tried this place several times and the results are always the same: subpar food that leaves us disappointed.
