Unfortunately there are a few things that need mentioning, especially as paid well over $200pp (set window menu) and were expecting top notch food and service.
To start with, when querying about the wine list, the sommelier came to assist us. He kept trying to push the most expensive wines and wouldn’t consider our budget when repeatedly asked. When we picked a cheaper wine, it was conveniently out of stock. When the (red) wine arrived, it was cold and when questioned on it, the sommelier said it just needed time to ‘warm up’.
We also found some things wildly overpriced – no matter the setting, chips should not be $30!
They also kindly brought out a birthday cake as we were celebrating a birthday, which we assumed was free as we had not asked for it, but then charged us for it on the receipt and only took it off when questioned.
Overall, the view is stunning and most members of staff are lovely and very accommodating. However, it felt as if we were being squeezed for as much money as possible throughout and some of the food/drink didn’t live up to the standard expected given the price.
The views were incredible. You gain access to the edge if you spend $60+ per customer. Make sure the weather is good otherwise they will close it off. Unfortunately, it was rainy the day we went so we were unable to go outside.
The decor is clean, modern, and refreshingly not stuffy. Arrival sets a strong tone, with smooth check-in and welcoming hosting that immediately elevates expectations. Service throughout the meal is solid and professional, though it doesn’t quite sustain the same level of attentiveness established at the start, especially given the premium setting.
Fortunately, the food carries its weight. The self-described New American menu is thoughtfully composed and broadly appealing, offering something for a wide range of tastes from elevated seafood dishes to a honest-to-goodness burger and fries, all without feeling diluted. Dishes are attractively plated, with flavors that feel bright, current, and familiar in the best way.
Peak offers both prix fixe and à la carte menus for lunch and dinner, along with raw bar add-on options that add flexibility to the experience. It’s a restaurant that successfully balances spectacle and substance, making it a strong choice whether you’re visiting for the view, the food, or both, especially on a beautiful clear day/evening.
After we mention that was not our anniversary, they have still brought the cake which was king of weird.
As you can see in the last picture we ordered a bottle of wine, last sip was a surprise.
Strongly suggest to increase the service standards as the place and the food are very good.
The service was great from A to B, the food was truly amazing. My wife ordered a well cooked Streak Frites, and it was perfectly cooked, still tender and very tasty. Btw, Entrees means Main for them. Courtesy access to the Edge platform as a plus. Special mention to our waitress Cris who was very professional and nice all along!
It’s a bit expensive sure but considering the view and the food, it’s worth it. I recommend!
