We ordered hamburgers, one with fries and one with chips. They put two Pattie’s on the buns, overly cooked, I think they just reheated the Pattie’s and put two on the buns to fill the sandwich, fries and chips over cooked. We USE to come years ago and the food was excellent so we decided to stop by today. Definitely will NOT be going back.

We were a little intimidated by the long line and small number of tables when we first walked in, but the line moved pretty quick. The tables cleared out fast, several actually opened while we were ordering so we didn’t have to wait for one. The line was out the door, but we waited less than 10 minutes to order and had our foor within 10 minutes of that. I was shocked how fast we got our food. We went at lunch time on a Sunday and had the meat and 3. I had the grilled pork chop with cabbage casserole, squash casserole, and mac & cheese. Hands down one of the best pork chops over ever had. It tasted like it had been smoked, huge portion, and the bbq glaze/sauce was amazing. The casseroles were equally as good. Nothing needed to be seasoned like at most restaurants. My husband and son had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, squash casserole, and mac & cheese. The crust on the chicken was seasoned well and real crunchy. Chicken was cooked perfect. My husband said the potatoes tasted homemade. Afterwards we went back for the icecream. I had the swirl. Definitely recommend. My husband had plain peach and my son the chocolate. I think the swirl was the favorite all around with the chocolate a close second. Service was great. Everyone was very friendly. Staff was constantly cleaning and turning tables. The owner came over and talked to us for a bit. Very nice, humble people. The restaurant has a down home, comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely make the 1.5 hour drive back to bring friends. ❤️

My family has been coming here for years for the peaches and the ice cream. The ice cream was good even though machine for peach ice cream malfunctioned. But the strawberry/peach swirl was still good. I got some peaches off course. I don’t even eat store bought peaches anymore. I also got peach salsa and strawberry salsa. Next time I will get a burger or the bbq chicken.

The 4 girls working were so kind and helpful. Food is awesome and the strawberry peach ice cream was truly one of the best ice creams i’ve ever had. Maybe some extra attention to the bathroom if you’re looking for some updates like not having the toilet paper next to the urinal. But not like it’s stopping me from making the drive from Columbia!

We enjoy making the drive from Columbia to Monetta just to come here! The food and ice cream are amazing and the atmosphere is great…even on a hot day the shaded porch is nice to sit on.
