As for the service, it’s a sports bar scene, you get what you pay for. It’s not the most friendly crowd, but they are consistent. And consistently goes a long way today.
They’ve got burgers done seriously right. Tacos with salsa that they can’t serve the tourists because they would simply die, chicken pot pie like your mom made and if you order potato chips, they fry them fresh to order!
On Sundays, they do a Bloody Mary bar with killer. Bloody Marys loaded up like you wouldn’t believe, but based in a rich, thick, horseradishy bloody mix!
Sunday afternoons, this same joint does curated wine tastings with charcuterie. Seriously.
Parking is pretty decent, either right in their lot or on the side street.
Service is outstanding: staff are cheerful, attentive, know their menu, and are stoked to see you. They’ll even watch out for tourists and find a milder salsa that won’t kill them (because nothing freaks out locals like dead tourists. You know what I’m sayin)
The coconut shrimp and egg roll platter was pretty good. More of an appetizer that you’d want to share than an individual entree. The mango salsa was the highlight on that plate. The BBQ pork sliders were good but small. The sides of white rice and mac salad weren’t my fav and wouldn’t have been my first choice.
We ordered some other things and overall my family enjoyed what we got. Some aspects were a bit underwhelming, but for a 10pm dinner we were happy with the beer, variety, value, service, and overall atmosphere.
Was visiting from out of town but walked in and felt welcomed from the gate. Didn’t get a chance to try the pub grub but all I saw looked delicious and smelled great, wish I hadn’t been coming from a company Christmas party would have loved to try the menu. Highly recommend.
Loved the waitress, she was just adorable! Her whole attitude and mannerisms, her sweet voice, she was just attentive and accommodating the whole time. SUPER FAB service!!
I love a good soup, so if you enjoy chicken tortilla soup made in house, this one is pretty primo. The Drunken nachos had a delightful, but unexpected twist using in house made potato chips instead of tortilla chips was a nice touch.
This place was absolutely worth 5 stars. I have not been here before, but I will be here again. Highly recommended
My first bottle of beer took +10min to arrive, my second one never showed. My kid finished his water fast and a top-off took 20min despite a flag down. My buddy ordered a promotional apple pie old fashioned that showed up 30min into the meal and tasted like straight burbon.
The burgers/sandwiches were good, but small on the portion size. Everyone left hungry.
Not worth it when there are so many better alternatives (both dive bar and standard b&g) mear by.
