This is one of my favorite local spots. Great coffee, delicious baked goods, and an excellent happy hour with wine options that make it easy to settle in and stay awhile. The atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable, perfect for working, meeting friends, or just unwinding.

Not five stars because the manager tends to wear a very strong cologne and gets close when checking in. A little more space (and a lighter touch on the fragrance) would make the experience perfect.

Overall, still a great place that I’ll continue to visit!

Pavon is pretty busy and has a lot of variety in food and drinks. I came on Monday midday and wanted to get some work done – which I was able to do just fine with noise cancelling headphones. If you’re someone who needs minimal noise, this may not be the place to go. But a great place to meet with friends or hang out! There’s both a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Outlets are hard to come by as most of the wall seating is taken, so come prepared with charged devices.
I probably didn’t choose the right food or drinks, but I wasn’t too impressed by the empanadas. They tasted a bit stale/reheated and didn’t have much flavor. They also have burritos and breakfast items, pastries available. I ordered the hibiscus berry iced tea because I didn’t want to be over caffeinated and it was okay. The coffee drinks looked really good and nicely presented!
The parking in the area can also be a bit tricky because the parking lot is valet(?) for the restaurants in the next door complex and the street parking is pretty full.
Overall I think I’d come back and try some of the other drinks next time

What a coffee shop gem! The latte was fantastic, the coffee was smooth and not overly sweet. The croissant was flaky, delicious & unique. It tasted fresh and was fully filled. The guava bun was really tasty as well.

The coffee shop is beautifully decorated, with dim lights and plenty of tables inside and outside. The servers were very nice & provided recommendations.

Parking is available on the street and a lot nearby.

One of the best coffee places in Houston. And yes, it’s better than Common Bond! The pastries are also perfection and the service was so accommodating. 10/10 recommend.

**My New Favorite Spot in Montrose**

I live a couple blocks from Pavon Coffee Den and I’ve been three times this week already. That should tell you something.

The coffee is fantastic – legitimately some of the best I’ve had. But what keeps me coming back is everything else. The breakfast tacos are insane. Like, dangerously good. After 11am, get the “Jamón de Pavón” panini. Yeah, it takes about 15 minutes, but just order it and thank me later.

I brought my wife and girls by the other day and they loved it. The kids grabbed some books and just hung out reading while we had our coffee. It’s got this really cool vibe but it’s not pretentious or loud – just a solid place where you actually want to spend time.

The staff is awesome. Everyone who works there seems to genuinely care, which makes a huge difference. Plus they serve adult drinks too, so it works for pretty much any time of day.

Honestly, living this close to a place this good is kind of spoiling me. If you’re in the area, just go check it out.

This has quickly become my favorite coffee shop. The service is INCREDIBLE here. Staff is super attentive and friendly. Nice snacks. Unique coffee offerings – my favorite is the rose latte. They also have happy hour from 4-6p! Street parking or the parking lot if you’re lucky. Sofas, booth style, high top tables and regular tables. Perfect little gem!

Hi everyone, this review is for those that want to know if this place is worth it or not.

The coffee is good, nothing over the top.
The empanadas and the pastries are excellent. Now the service is where the problem lies.

The baristas are not very engaged in service. No conversation, no helping with questions unless you pry them to. Very apathetic. We got a number for the table to signal where our order would be taken to, our drinks were brought but our food sat on the counter for awhile. We were about to grab it, when the manager said to the baristas “I’m just going to take it to them”.

Why give out the numbers if you can’t bring them? Lastly, the manager I noticed takes plates and drinks at times when some customers are not actually done. I noticed he did it to a customer with headphones which the customer made a gesture shaking his head when he’s plate was taken. I laughed it off only for it to happen with my wife’s drink.

In short, if you are looking for a quick in and out, no fuss. This is good. If you are looking to take family or a date look elsewhere.

I love this coffee shop! The vibe is warm and inviting, and the service is always friendly. I tried the rose iced latte for the first time, and it was so good, light, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness. It’s quickly become one of my new favorite drinks. I’ll definitely be back!

I stopped by this coffee shop on a Saturday afternoon. While it was a bit busy, there was plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it easy to find a comfortable spot. The ambiance was peaceful and charming, perfect for getting work done or simply unwinding. Soft music and a relaxed atmosphere made it an inviting space, and I appreciated the abundance of outlets along the walls. I ordered an almond croissant and an iced vanilla rose latte, and both were absolutely delicious. The croissant had a sweet, filling that left me wanting more, while the latte was beautifully balanced, with just the right touch of sweetness.

I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, AR, who was incredibly warm and personable, adding to the welcoming feel of the place. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great coffee, a cozy environment, and friendly service!

I went Wednesday afternoon, the tables were full but managed to get seating right away. Got the caramel macchiato which was absolutely delicious, on the sweeter side. Also, the banana crema latte which was divine!
