After a morning exploring the charming streets of Ponchatoula, stumbling upon Paul’s Cafe was a delightful treat.

This cozy, family-run spot offers classic Southern comfort food that truly hits the spot. I opted for simplicity, a grilled-cheese sandwich with a side of onion rings, it felt like home.

The staff’s warmth and attentiveness made the experience even more enjoyable; they treat you like old friends, ensuring glasses were never empty, including a refreshed to-go cup.

The ambiance, with its rustic decor and friendly chatter, added to the overall charm. If you’re in town and looking for a place to relax and enjoy authentic Southern cuisine, Paul’s Cafe is a must-visit.

Great Location and Service. Not fast food, but worth the wait. Outdoor seating area for those nice weather days. Close to downtown shopping and events.

Whewwweeee! Paul’s Cafe was a little slice of heaven for our bellies. Cute and quaint atmosphere, UH-MAZING food, and sweet, personable home town service. We will make it a point to stop in every time we’re in Ponchatula.

On a positive note, the coffee was good, and the eggs and toast were fine. However, I expected much more than pre-packaged frozen sausage patties that belong at McDonald’s. I would recommend a quality local sausage (because I know you can get it) that is prepared, smashed, and cooked fully. Your customers will be much happier.

I am in Ponchatoula for the week to work, and decided to look for a place to get good food locally. I am glad I picked Paul’s, as their shrimp Po Boy was delicious. I even got to help the owner Paul hoist the American flag on memorial day. Overall a very good place to stop with great food and even better staff.

A great little corner cafe in Ponchatoula. Friendly and attentive servers with above average diner fare. The roast beef in both the po’boy and the open-faced BBQ was excellent. The BBQ sauce was good and tangy but the amount used was very generous. Great onion rings, subpar mashed potatoes
