I have been avoiding this review… This place is local to me and I really love supporting local, but this place was just not good. We need some good places to eat in Johnstown! So this place just opened a few weeks ago now and I was way too excited to try it, we waited a couple of weeks to let them “settle” in and tried it. We were greeted by a young lady that said “pick any table 3,4,5” okay, so we picked the first we saw. The place is very tidy and they have a cute style in there, they had about 6 or 7 tables I believe also a bathroom. To say the least and without being mean but constructive the chatter between my husband, I, and the waitress was an awkward one too say the least… Anyways we ordered the lasagna and it came with garlic bread, I ordered the personal pizza, and when I asked if I can get two toppings she made it so awkward I would’ve settled for just a flat out no! The nice man behind her said I’ll make her whatever she wants, so I thanked him, {I just asked for pep and green pepper} and then we ordered a meatball sub to go. So my husband’s dish which I tried honestly tasted like a Marie calendars serving, with two layers of pasta a mountain of sauce and just mozzarella! Mine was okay it looked very greasy and the dough was soggy, they should’ve left it in longer, I had two pieces reluctantly. We ate the sub when we got home because we were still hungry, I think that was the best out of the three dishes! The meatballs weren’t over seasoned which is great! Would I go here again? Honestly no and I can’t recommended it either… I think they needed to concentrate on everything being fresh and they’ll notice when they see familiar faces coming to eat their fresh food often. The hours are a little weird too I think it was 11am-2pm closed then open again at 4 it 5-8pm I mean it makes sense but with the break the place needs to be making amazing pastas, sauces, fresh bread, and dough! Sorry it was such a long review but I hate doing these when they’re so local to me. I wish them good luck! I will give it 3 starts for the cleanliness, and got the meatball sub.

The food is fair but not GREAT. It doesn’t hit you when you bite into it to where you say “Yes! This is amazing!”, for me food like that exists in downtown Denver and in Fort Collins but these little old towns like Johnstown and Miliken fall short with “what’s available to eat”. When my wife and I saw this place open up we thought “Yes, finally an Italian restaurant boasting authentic recipes. This should be amazing.” The only thing amazing about this place is how expensive it was to order a meal with 1 appetizer, a kitchen sink salad and a Gnocchi for two people… the meal was $65. And it tasted like BASIC food you’d find at any “chain” restaurant. Sure some of the food is delicious but having to search to find it is unappealing. Especially after spending $65, I was expecting to bit into heaven for that price. Truth, is it costs more because of the fact they are the only Italian place around so for convenience you pay whatever they want to charge but taste-wise this place isn’t going to last. And if I would’ve planned better I could’ve taken my wife to Northglenn and ate an All you can eat Italian meal at Cinzetti’s for 1/3 of the price and the food there is absolutely amazing from the first bite. Lower your pricing and improve the taste of your food and keep your equipment updated so you don’t close down again like you did a week after opening and you will get a better rating. Until then, I’m never going back.

AMAZING FOOD!!!! Great prices for the amount you get. I ordered stuffed shells with a meatball. This place is incredible. Pauli is awesome. He checked on us and made sure we were satisfied. The wait staff was great too. I will be back. I recommend everyone to try it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me.

This place is ridiculously delicious! Every last thing he brought out and put on the table (he brought us some things from the kitchen while we were waiting for our meals, just for us to try) was absolutely amazing. Even the COFFEE was amazing, and I don’t even like coffee. Definitely the best kept secret in Johnstown.

Loved Italian grill in Windsor but we called ahead and asked if they were open today, Dec 26th, they said they would be open until 8. We pulled up just before 5 and they were leaving for the day. We planned a dinner out for our family that we’re visiting and we had to find somewhere else. If memory serves this flaky behavior was the only thing we didn’t like about the Windsor location.

Me and my husband have been really excited to try this place. We ended our plans early and decided to have his Birthday dinner here. We pulled up and the open sign was on so we went in not knowing the hours. We were met by a very unhappy rude young lady. We asked if they were still open and the young lady replied yes but only for the next 30 minutes. We said oh ok well do you guys do take out we don’t want to keep you any longer. She said we could but then acted like she didn’t want us to order. She made some comments about not staying any time over, and that it was a long crazy day but again said we could order something to go. Put off we sat down at the bench to look at the menu trying to brush off comments and rude attitude. Not a minute after looking at the menu she walks by us and says just so you know anything that we have to bake take 20 minutes or more to bake. She might as well should have just said if you dont order right now its not going to be ready and im not staying a minute passed when we close so don’t think about ordering anything that will take to long to cook. I stopped looking at the menu and looked at my husband and he looked back at me and said do you want to leave and I said yes. We set the menu down and walked out, the young gal was like im sorry I really can take your order we said no thank you we are going to go somewhere else. If this is how they treat people I dont see them making it very long I know we wont be back that left a very bad taste in my mouth. I would give zero stars if I could. We left and went to the Haung Garden great food and service . I will be telling people not to go tho Paulies for sure!

We have been eating at Pauli’s Italian Grill since he opened in Windsor. If you like real Italian food it’s like Mama use to make. Great place to eat!!

Very good food at a reasonable price – had the ravioli with garlic bread. Nice to have another decent dining option around here.

Don’t believe the hype. My waiter was intoxicated, lasagna was swimming in tomato sauce and the owner was publicly berating the server.
