Paulie’s Fine Italian – Charleston, WV
We visited Paulie’s Fine Italian on 01/17/26 and couldn’t leave such a beautiful place without a great review. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was upbeat, romantic, and inviting. Our table was clean and thoughtfully set, overlooking the restaurant with lovely details that made it feel special.
Our waitress greeted us quickly with water and bread simple, fresh, and perfectly paired with the dipping oil. We started with the cheese curds, which were hot, crunchy, and delicious.
I ordered an espresso martini that was beautifully sweet (thankfully vodka!) it honestly tasted like a candy bar and was perfect. My husband ordered a classic cheese and pepperoni pizza and rated it a solid 10/10. I had the Lobster & Bow Tie Pasta; the breadcrumbs on top were amazing, and the cream sauce was so good I used the bread to soak up every bit. While the portion was generous and I couldn’t finish it, I would’ve loved a bit more lobster—still a strong 9/10. I also had a lemon martini that was very strong and very good.
We were in and out within an hour, had a wonderful experience, and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!
There were times that I was just speechless eating my carbonara. It easily the best I’ve had in WV.
Service and food is eccellente!!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The dishes are wonderful prepared, the service is top-notch, and the menu is full of incredible options.
I highly recommend ordering a few and sharing with your chosen family. I had 5 people and we each ordered something different just to try it! You’ll want to try everything! The Sunday Ribbon was my favorite and the Angelo’s Sausage & Pea Rigatoni was amazing. I don’t remember the name of the dessert, but it’s served in a cappuccino cup and it’s chocolate it was by far the best dessert. I can’t wait to go back!
Our waiter, Chris, was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and really made our night enjoyable. Chef Paul himself even came around to check on tables, which gave it a personal and welcoming touch.
The atmosphere is also something special. The inside design makes you feel like you’ve stepped out of WV and into a big city Italian restaurant. It’s modern, unique, and creates the perfect backdrop for a fine dining experience.
We couldn’t leave without dessert, so we took a slice of tiramisu cheesecake to go—WOW. Rich, creamy, and the perfect sweet ending to the night.
On top of it all, the prices were very reasonable for the quality and presentation you get. This is definitely a new go-to spot for us, and I can’t recommend it enough!
