Staff was very friendly. All the food was served on Styrofoam plate, plastic eating utensils, and plastic cup. The food was a little bland. Had to add salt and pepper. We tried the western omelet which had green peppers, cheese, and some kind of meat like ham or polish sausage? Wrapped around an egg omelet. It wasn’t cooked into the egg like I’ve seen some places do. Also tried a half biscuit and gravy. The gravy was bland tasting. The biscuit was thick and soft. Portion was pretty big for only a half order. I got the 2 French toast. They were cut in half so u was served 4 triangles dusted with powder sugar. Gave me quite a big of syrup. I had plenty left over. No sides came with anything we ordered, which kind of sucked because I don’t care for eggs and it seemed like all the big breakfasts consisted of eggs, a meat, and toast or biscuit plain. New place. New experience.

Food was fine. Service was great. Much of the food seemed like it may have been pre-fabricated. All food was served on disposable, non- environmentally friendly plates, foam cups, and disposable silverware. Juice was from a sealed individual bottle. Somewhat cool. Everything was served hot and fresh, just not exceptional. Bathrooms need updating and a thorough cleaning too.

Before you stop in and eat make sure you go to the bank and get a loan other than that it’s a Great place for breakfast if that’s what you’re looking for I always get the hungry man breakfast every time I go and it is always great. I have been getting it for years but since they changed to plastic forks and foam plates they’ve been skimping on the home fries. Still very good wish they would go back to their old plates and real silverware that’s why I don’t go there much anymore. If you even mention about going back to plates and silverware the answer is always we can’t get anybody no one wants to work but when I go to eat at other places they’ve switched back.

SERVICE was friendly and prompt, we assume with a smile from behind the mask ! (Covid 19 service was in full effect with disposable plates etc.) BREAKFAST was the meal, I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and hashbrowns. EGGS were noticeably not greasy, a welcome feature. Biscuits and gravy hit the spot. Hashbrowns were not my favorite, I prefer mine to be more like the potato it came from. COFFEE was great! (Mr. Bacon was mad at us since we also ordered the French toast and a side of bacon!)

The ONLY mom and pop breakfast place in Portsmouth! Friendly staff!
No complaints about the food. My omelet was stuffed the the gills.
Most people complain that food is service on Styrofoam with individual single use platicware, but it’s much more sanitary and they don’t have to hire a dishwasher person.
The building was rather dirty. Needs thorough cleaning.

I hadn’t been here in years since I was a kid but, the portions seem smaller than they use to be (Western omelette)and the food was bland (home fries, gravy). Seems to have gone down hill to where they can’t afford real plates and cups. NOT the small town dinner it used to be. I’d rather have Sonic’s breakfast. Why would I want to pay $40 for some basic food on styrofoam plates for 2 people?

We ventured in never having eaten here before. The place is a little rough, like working people and that is exactly what I expected. I ordered the lunch special and my wife ordered breakfast. We shared our meals and found everything very tasty. I was impressed with the quality but the portions could have been bigger even though neither of us walked away hungry. The coffee was very good as well. If I wanted a chain restaurant meal I would’ve gone to one, but this was exactly what I expected, wanted and got. No frills, just good home cooking. Enough said, we’ll be back!

I wish I could give 0 stars. My family was visiting from out of town and decided to give this restaurant a try. We were told to seat ourselves. The waiter was talking to all the other guests and the other waiter walked right past us as if we hadn’t been waiting for someone to greet us for 15 mins. No one came to our table. We never were given drinks. We weren’t even given menus. I guess they don’t serve black people in this hole-in-the-wall joint.

Really good food. Everything on paper plates and plastic utensils was a bit weird.
