We were a party of three for a late lunch. Two of us had the whitefish sandwiches and one had soup and salad bar. The whitefish sandwich is deep fried, be aware of that. I prefer grilled and a bit healthier, but that’s not what they had. I managed to eat around the fish fried batter and the actual fish was very tasty. Our waitress was named Taylor and she ran the whole show. She was in charge of many tables as well as people sitting at the bar. She was friendly as can be and did a great job. None of us had ever been here before so it was fun. Nostalgic, especially knowing the film history there. We will return to try something different off the menu also. The outdoor seating looks like it must be fun in the evenings with a fire pit and a stage for music. Be aware of their hours and call ahead if you are coming with a larger party. I can see that with the campgrounds nearby it must be hit or miss with people who may show up for a meal. I will attach photos. Thank you Taylor for your kindness today.

A beautiful rustic restaurant! We came for a late lunch around 3 pm and it was almost empty. They have humongous asparagus which we enjoyed both fried as an appetizer and steamed as a side to the porkloin. Menu does not have any vegetarian options except for the asparagus. I enjoyed the salad bar instead which was satisfying. They have great coffee as well. Welcoming and helpful staff, plenty of parking.

My husband, mom and I stopped for dinner this past weekend, this place has a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food. I loved having my dinner while listening to the fire in the fireplace and enjoying the atmosphere. Very cozy, friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend ❣️

Very disappointed in our meal. All 4 of us had the prime rib and salad bar. Soup was barely tepid, the baked potato was cold and the butter didn’t even melt and the meat was cold and flavorless. Best part of the meal was the carrot cake. Will not eat there again and will not promote the place. My dinner cost was 68.00 for one person.

Drove by this place many times before and finally stopped here for breakfast on the way home from Houghton. Wish I would have stopped sooner. Food was great, atmosphere was great, prices were great. Planning on finding a place to stay nearby in the future so I can come back for dinner.

Was a phenomenal experience. Great good! Best burger I have ever eaten. Michigamme smash burger. Wife loved the chicken pot pie. Will definitely be stopping by again.
