The prices are right. The food is good. The service is exceptional. It appears to be s favorite of local law enforcement types, judging by the number of times a patrol car is there, so that makes it highly recommended.
If you like biscuits and gravy, they excel at it.

Been coming here since I was just a kid. Burgers are always fantastic, friendly staff. The ranch fries are freakin’ amazing, too. Just a nice little mom and pop joint to sit back and relax. My only qualm is that they close at 2PM.

Pat’s is a GREAT place for BREAKFAST. Eggs are always cooked the way you asked for a. Fried potatoes are flavourful and the bacon is done just the way I like it. Coffee cup never gets empty. What else is there to say!!! I wish they were were closer to my house.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for years, but the opportunity was never right. Went there today. I thought my omelette and home fries were AMAZING! I didn’t think the French toast was that great, and the bacon was a lil well done for my taste. And I also found a hair in my food… To most people this would seem awful, but I’ve seen this a lot in my many years of experience and it didn’t bother me too terribly. No, I didn’t finish my food, but I was also really stuffed. The portions are huge. I thought it was a lil pricey, as the home fries didn’t come with the omelette, nor did the bacon (or cinnamon) come with the French toast, but still no deal breaker for me. The server was excellent, very nice and helpful with a question I asked. Btw, she also took off my meal (because of the hair) which was awesome. The owner even came over to say hello, which was nice as we were definitely new to the place. Place was very clean!
All in all, some good and some bad, but still deserve 5 stars because the good outweighed the bad. Will def try to make it back!
Thank you!

Fantastic breakfast, and great lunch too. Service is always prompt and courteous, and the amount of food you get for the price is amazing! I think Pat’s is probably the best place to get food in the Machesney Park area.

My wife and I. Decided to check this place out after we were done with my Paper route. We are glad we did. It’s the best family owned dinner in town. The only dad thing we were not too happy about was we ordered two special. In the special you get coffee. My wife does not drink coffee and I can’t have coffee due to health resons. So we asked for milk instead and got charge for it. We shouldn’t got charge. But oh well.

I’ve been going to Pat’s since before I could walk. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the food is always amazing. It’s just like being at mom’s house without getting asked when she’s getting grandchildren.

Pat’s is a wonderful cafe run by very curtious proprietors. Good prices great food and massive portions. If you are able to get in while they are open, they open and close pretty early, you will not leave disappointed.

Boy, talk about an old school family restaurant and this is the place. Very personable service, great food, a clean and well kept little “hole in the wall”. They have comfort food to write about. I absolutely love eating here.
