I recently visited this charming Mexican family-owned restaurant, and overall, I had a positive experience, though there were a couple of things worth mentioning. First off, the service was excellent! The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. You could tell they genuinely care about their customers, which is always a nice touch.
However, the restaurant was a bit too overcrowded for my liking. The space is quite small, but they’ve packed in a lot of tables and seats, making it feel cramped and a little uncomfortable at times. At one point, I noticed a server walking by with glass plates over the head of my baby in a high chair, which seemed a little dangerous and made me nervous. I used my hand to cover the top of his head as they walked by but she didn’t seem to get the hint.
That said, the food definitely made up for the minor discomforts. I ordered the eggs and chorizo breakfast, and it was delicious flavorful, perfectly cooked, and well worth coming back for. It was a standout dish and definitely a reason to give this place another try.
So, while the seating situation could use some work and the layout is a bit tight, if you’re craving good Mexican food and great service, I’d still recommend stopping by for that eggs and chorizo!
The selection was good, with something for everyone. The four of us each ordered different things, and had coffee, juice, tea, and the like. The food came out hot and fresh, delicious in every bite.
The decor and atmosphere was lovely. The roof was clean and set well, while Christmas trees and ornaments decorated around the establishment. It was a great breakfast experience. My favorite part were the homemade buttermilk biscuits!
Completely recommend, can’t wait to go back again.
But the real highlight of our visit was our waitress, Brandy. We were a large family, and she handled our group with ease, warmth, and professionalism. Brandy made sure we were well taken care of and added a personal touch to our meal, making us feel right at home. Her service was the best we’ve had in years and truly elevated the entire experience.
Overall, this diner checks all the boxes for a perfect meal (even the kids agree) —delicious food, a clean and cozy setting, and exceptional service. We can’t wait to go back!
It’s been awhile since I’ve had such a visible reaction to good food.
I had the 7th street burrito, which apparently has a history involving the owners and hurricane Alisha. It was just the right amount of spicy, with the amazing flavor of the homemade beans and beef. If any place could be described as a diamond in the rough it would be here. The only issue I had with the place is it was slightly over stimulating with how many noises was going on. But that is really negligible with how amazing all the other aspects of this place are. We’ll definitely be visiting again, we all want to try so much more than what we got!
