This was our first time visiting Paterno’s and it will definitely not be our last. Both the food and service were great. Portions were generous — I had too much to eat, but it was worth a splurge. The veal was amazing.

My first visit to Paterno’s at the Park was nothing short of amazing. The service, drinks and meal was outstanding and exceeded all of my expectations. I felt like I was in a restaurant in NYC, not in Charleston – Paterno’s is truly a asset to the Charleston area and with a visit anytime you are in the area.

I had the veal, which was the best veal I’ve ever had. I will be back to try other menu items.

Limited menu for lunch.
I enjoyed the sampler- the best pasta dish was by far their lasagna.

Lunch was about $20 for sampler, soda and tip.

It is excellent food. The best quality of steaks and veal. Fresh seafood. Always friendly, the servers are always super polite and knowledgeable. They have a great wine list and a new list for great wines at $20.00 a bottle. I find the prices very reasonable and something for everyone. The family is amazing and does a lot to support the community. It is the best Italian food in Charleston, and I am from NY and spent several years in Providence, RI, so I am pretty qualified to judge a great Italian restaurant.

Always a pleasant meal!! Some of the best Italian in town. Love the cheese shells and anti pasta platter. Have been here for formal events and just dinners with the family, always delicious and fun. Somewhat expensive, but well worth it.

I have been to Paterno’s several times and have had a phenomenal experience each visit. Paterno’s is one of the top restaurants in Charleston, WV. Service is prompt and efficient and the food is second to none. I’ve been in WV for 12 years and Paterno’s is the home of the best Italian food I’ve had in the Mountain State. I highly recommend the Sausage and Pea Rigatoni and Black Truffle Steak. Friendly atmosphere, timely service and wonderful food; I give Paterno’s five stars!

I have been going to Paterno’s since the day that they opened. It’s close by. I love the food. I love the people. And, I love the wine selections. Pricing is very reasonable across the board. Of course, I have my favorites…Basil Chicken, Sausage & Peppers Appetizer, Wedge Salad with Blue Cheese (+Chicken) and at lunch there is this huge salad with Italian meats and olives. Yum!! Paterno’s has become one of those places that I go when I don’t want to cook and I want to know, without a doubt, that I am going to love what I order. Thank you Paterno Family for sharing your family recipes with the Charleston area.

Food was pretty good….little pricy but all in all pretty good. I had some sort of pasta with shrimp and truffle sauce. The pasta was cooked very well, the shrimp want chewy or rubbery and the sauce was well balanced. If i had to make a complaint it would be that the sauce had more of a standard mushroom flavor than a truffle flavor.

It was decent food. The kids portions are bigger than the adults I think, yet half the price. Also kind of “high end” feel for a ballpark. Would be better to have a great burger joint or something… Walburgers, Red Robin… somethign like that.

My first trip there….and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was exceptional…and the service was really good. You can sit on the deck if you prefer. Was a nice atmosphere also.
