The food there is quite excellent, being both tasty and reasonably priced. The service is good; getting to you right away when they can and being apologetic when they’re busy. It’s a warm, cozy place that makes you feel at home. I definitely recommend this place .

P.S. The only thing I would change about the place is that they would salt their fries, as I find them quite bland . However, a bit of ketchup makes up for that.

We have always been a fan of P&Hs so we would order it pretty frequently but it had been about a year since our last visit.

This time we ordered the Family Pack (like usual) and received more breading than fish when we got our order – 5 of the 6 pieces barely had any fish while the 6th I would say was acceptable, but all 6 pieces were still quite small overall from what we used to get prior. Each “piece of fish” will fit on a burger bun itself whereas before each piece would have to be cut in half to fit on a burger bun.

Very disappointing, probably won’t order it again even if it was tasty overall – the quantity and breading was a major turnoff for the price, great fries (more than needed) and good coleslaw (VERY small portion for 3 people).

My grandfather always raved about Pat and Hank’s’ perch dinner and in his honour, my husband and I decided to indulge.

Neither of us has ever had perch and we LOVED the beautiful fish with the amazing seasoned crust. We also had the haddock on recommendation from the server and weren’t disappointed.

There’s a reason my dad grew up with this, and my dear Pepe was on the mark. This is a gem of a shop and we will add it to our list of favourites when we visit from Calgary.

Cozy little diner, very clean and excellent service.
We had the 2 piece Halibut special (Tuesdays Only) with cole slaw and a bun.
Best Halibut in Windsor area for the price and we know because we have tried Gilligans, the old Kildare House and Frydays.
Nice and moist fish, light batter and two good size Halibut fish.
You will not be disappointed.
I must mention the coleslaw and tartar sauce are also the best.
I had Onion Rings while my wife had fresh cut French Fries.
Ample parking

If you like English Style Fish and Chips then look no further than Pat & Hanks. They’ve mastered the art of making batter and has been a favourite place for many years. The Fresh Cut Fries are the best in town.

I recently visited Pat & Hank’s , and unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to my expectations. We ordered five daily specials, one shrimp combo, and one calamari.

To start with the positives, the service was fast and efficient, and the restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. However, the quality of the food left much to be desired. The fish in the daily specials was extremely disappointing—overly greasy, with a thick, unappetizing crust that lacked any distinct flavor. It felt heavy and unenjoyable, which was a letdown as I had been looking forward to trying it.

The shrimp and calamari were somewhat better but only “ok-ish.” They were passable but didn’t stand out or compensate for the poor quality of the fish.

Was definitely a must-stop when visiting Windsor.

Fish and chips were delicious, and the portion sizes are amazing. Coffee was good, too!

If you eat fish, you have to go. If you haven’t gone, you’re missing out!!

everything was good except for the price, after spending more than $30 on a piece of fish you shouln’t come away feeling that there wasn’t enough fish(halibut). I know , should have went with the cod.

New to the area, wanted to see if this place lived up to the hype I’ve heard from residents. Sadly, I was underwhelmed, the fish was bland, the fries delicious, the garlic butter shrimp skewers overseasoned with parsley and dry. The wait staff was friendly enough but lacked in actual service, as she talked to some friends for awhile. Will not be back.

Had the halibut and really enjoyed it. Also liked their homemade mayo combo dressing as I’m not a fan of ketchup. Nice mix of mayo, relish and spices.
