I am extremely disappointed and unhappy with the cake you provided today.
You clearly promised that the cake would closely match the design I shared with you. Instead, you delivered a single-tier cake with no design at all.
On top of that, the ribbon placed on the cake was not edible. If you were unable to make the cake as requested, you should have informed me in advance rather than delivering something far from what was promised.
The color used on the cake was extremely harsh and stained everyone’s mouths—it would not come off easily. This ruined the experience for many of our guests. We had around 80 people attending, and the feedback was unanimous: no one was satisfied, and many said they would never order from Pastry Corner again.
This entire situation is ridiculous and highly unprofessional. If you cannot fulfill an order properly, you should not accept it in the first place.
I will be posting an honest review on Google based on this experience.
Very disappointed with your service.
I went in for an advertised special promising $18 worth of food. Instead, I was given three pastries priced at $4.49 each. When I questioned why the total didn’t add up to $18, I was told by a guy at the counter that the remaining $4.53 was “tax”. That explanation simply does not make sense. To make up the difference, he added 3 broken cookies with the topping missing (see photo). These were clearly of minimal value and still nowhere near the advertised amount. I didn’t want to argue further so I took the food and left.
When I tasted the pastries at home, they were stale. When I returned to the store to address it, the manager was argumentative and dismissive rather than apologetic. He claimed they have low profit margins and therefore cannot provide fresh food “as I was expecting.” Fresh food should not be an unreasonable expectation at a bakery. I was interrupted multiple times and shown no empathy.
I returned the food and was ready to leave. Then in a “take it or leave it” tone, the manager offered 2 pastries and 3 cookies – fresh, but worth roughly $10, still far below the advertised $18 special. I honestly should have left. At that point, this experience had left such a bad taste, I didn’t feel like eating them and discarded the items when I got home.
Between the deceptive pricing, poor food quality and the unacceptable customer service, this was not the way to treat a customer. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Pastry corner cafe.
I visited Pastry Corner in Chantilly on January 10, 2026, to purchase a cake, and my experience was extremely disappointing due to misleading pricing.
Inside the display case, there were several cakes with one sign clearly stating that 2 lb cakes are $35. I selected a cake from that same display, on the same shelf as the sign. The staff member asked if I wanted anything written on the cake, and I declined—I just wanted the cake as displayed.
When I was rung up, the total came to $49. I questioned the price and was told it was a “specialty cake” with a $10 upcharge. I asked where this was indicated, because there was no signage anywhere stating that some cakes were specialty cakes or that additional charges applied. There was only one sign advertising $35 cakes.
The manager stepped in and repeated the same explanation. I asked him to come around to the customer side and view the display from a customer’s perspective. The sign clearly shows $35, and the cake I chose was directly next to it. There was nothing separating or labeling certain cakes as specialty, nor anything explaining different pricing tiers.
I don’t have an issue paying more if pricing is clearly disclosed, but this was not. Telling customers after the fact that a cake is “specialty” when it’s not marked as such is misleading. As a consumer, I have no way of knowing what you consider a specialty cake.
The manager even acknowledged that he understood how the pricing was confusing, yet still insisted on the higher price—until I began taking photos of the display. At that point, he agreed to charge me the advertised $35.
Pricing should be clear, transparent, and easy to understand. Customers should not have to argue or document signage to be charged the advertised price. Pastry Corner needs to clearly label and separate specialty items if they cost more. As it stands, this felt like deceptive pricing, and it left a very bad impression.
Thank you, and we look forward to trying more food items from Pastry Corner!
Let’s talk about food quality – The only good quality was for dahi puri. Rest of chat was salty, dry and lack of taste.
We would have better ordered regular food instead of this unlimited chat options.
There is room for improvement.
I ordered the Pineapple eggless Cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday party, and it was a huge hit! The staff were so helpful during the ordering process, making sure the colors matched her birthday theme perfectly. The cake itself was incredibly moist, and the frosting was a perfect balance—sweet, but not heavy. Everyone commented on how delicious it was. Pickup was easy and fast. If you need a cake for a special occasion, [Pastry Corner in Chantilly] is the place to go. They made the celebration so much sweeter!
Being a foodie/ traveler love to try food in different places. This tiny place is just amazing with various food options. When we saw the unlimited breakfast and chat option thought must give a try. Immediately visited for breakfast and their vada, idli, poori, set dosa and chutneys are amazing. They also have upma and semiya kheer. Coming to the evening un limited chat omg dahi puri, samosa chat, aloo chat, pani puri, pav bhaji all are so delicious. They have a special variety called palak chat with mango pieces which is interesting. we have tried chicken biryani , mutton biryani, cilantro chicken and chicken lollipops which are mouth watering. Our family loved everything. Coming to the desserts their cakes are so fresh, light and tasty. We tried gulab jamun cake, Black Forest cake, dil pasand and cream roll. True foodies definitely visit the place and must give a try to all the varieties. For quality is really good. Owners are very respectful, staff and really nice. Worth visit , worth for money , one of the best places to visit in this county.
