Pastorante has been on our list to visit for some time and we’re so glad we finally made it. On the main drag in downtown Steelton, there’s plenty of street parking. Also BYOB. We loved the stuffed mushrooms to start but main event were the flavorful and fresh pasta dishes. My partner really enjoyed the lasagna. The spaghetti and meatballs were great, left me mopping up the sauce with the homemade bread. Good portions for super reasonable prices.

Came here unplanned and without reservations on a Saturday afternoon. It was completely booked, but they were nice enough to seat me as it was before the dinner rush and there were a few open tables. I was by myself so they accommodated me. I appreciated the customer service.
Started off with some bread before ordering the Squid Ink Fettuccine with Shrimp. Food came out after about 10 minutes and was definitely made fresh to order. Could taste the homemade pasta through the sauce. Was a good sized serving with plenty of shrimp.
Great food with outstanding service.

A lovely experience! You can tell everything is made with love – literally like eating a meal made by your motheror grandmother. The meatballs were great, the stuffed mushrooms were delicious- and the bulgogi Mac n cheese was so savory! I wish the shrimp fra davolo had a bit more kick and was spicy but the shrimp were cooked perfectly. We also love a BYOB establishment. We will be back!

Best Italian I’ve had in a long time. Fresh homemade pasta daily. Fresh ingredients. Second visit food was as good as the first visit. This time there were half a dozen freshly baked focaccia breads cooling on the window sill. The focaccia is served as a base for bruschetta that is quite delicious.
The small open kitchen is cool as you can watch the staff in action. The staff is very attentive and quite pleasant to talk with.

Had lunch today at Pastorante in their new Steelton location, and I’m already looking forward to going back. Everything is extremely fresh, bright, homemade, and packed with flavor. I had the pesto fusilli with chicken lunch special, along with an in-house salad and homemade focaccia bread — and to say it was delicious is an understatement.
If you haven’t checked them out yet, do yourself a favor and stop by Pastorante right on Front Street in Steelton. You won’t be disappointed!!! Support local business!

Ended up really enjoying this place. We did take out – when we first held the bag it felt super light for 50$ of food. However then they told us they make their own pasta fresh! When we got home and opened it up, it looked great. Then the taste, it was so lovely.
The oxtail was so savory, a little oily, overall delicious. Also got the chicken bilgogi Mac. It was pretty spicy but the creaminess and sweetness balanced it. Chicken was tasty and not dry. The bread we ordered for extra, was some of the best bread. Use it to get all the extra sauce from the oxtail, it’s great. Tiramisu was sooooo yummy, creamy and just delicate.
Caesar salad was ok, the dressing was forgotten on it so I can’t really judge it. Would not get again.
The people who work there are super friendly and nice.
The portions could definitely be just a little bigger. You’re paying a good amount of money for it, and just a little more would really seal the deal.
But it was a great, tasty meal that we really enjoyed. Recommended!

Great food, wonderful service. We chose to eat outside. There’s a couple tables on the sidewalk in Midtown Harrisburg. The food is great. We had 2 of their Mac and cheese selections. I had the crab and shrimp, my girlfriend had the bulgogi Mac and cheese. Both excellent with completely different flavors.

What an amazing place I stopped here for lunch break from work. It was my First time here for lunch and the food was amazing . I had the baked ziti with meat sauce and garlic bread with a house salad. The flavor was on point and amazing. The atmosphere was calming and relaxing. The dining area was very clean and it smelled good inside the restaurant. I will definitely be back to try other stuff on the menu.

My wife and I landed here from a Google Maps search on our way out of Harrisburg, PA, and we were blown away. I can rarely say this about a restaurant, but this reminded me in the very best ways of a home cooked meal made by Grandma. Fresh pasta made on site. I had lasagna, and my wife had the papparadelle covered by a luscious oxtail ragu. In my mind, perfect lasagna means no one ingredient stands out, but you get a satisfying marriage of ricotta, Italian sausage, lasagna noodles, house meat sauce, and melted cheese. Plus, it came out bubbling, critical in my view. The bread and hot chili sauce for dipping is a great opener to the meal. You will not be disappointed.

We were visiting the State Capital. We were looking for good place to eat. A short walk from the capital we walked in to Pastorante. Great food and service in a neighborhood location. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, fusili with pesto, squid ink pasta with shrimp and fusili with sausage peppers and onions. The fusili with pesto came with a salad, fresh romaine with shaved Italian cheeses and croutons. Each meal arrived hot and delicious. Enjoy a meal here. Serving size is perfect. I got the dinner portion and it was just right. The lunch portion didn’t look any smaller. Just to remind, the pasta is homemade. Put this on your place to eat whether visiting or residing. PS the bread is from a local bakery and is delicious.
