It was overall an easy going experience. Fast and polite customer service, and reasonably priced finger food.
We went in about 6 in the evening, and they were steady but not packed.
Unfortunately their Cook had dropped the ball on keeping both types of chicken going, so we just went with what they had – not my favorite thing to do (you know, getting the ‘ol’ greasy stuff); but we were in the mood for chicken, and that we did!
One thing I would like to mention though: If there is a Full-Size pickup at the Microphone ordering, and another one or even a Full Size SUV is leaving, they cannot pass without rubbing there passenger side of their vehicle up on the Evergreens that are growing pretty far into the drive.

On my way to South Carolina (from Syracuse NY) I stopped to gas up at the Sheetz across the street. Needing to grab a bite for lunch, I did so. First thing I noticed how impeccably clean the store was. Placed an order for dine-in, and received it promptly. The chicken pieces were the largest I’ve ever seen! And you didn’t receive it in a take out box on a tray, but rather in its own dine-in containers which honestly made it look that much more appealing! Fast forward 2 weeks: the eating experience impressed me so much I timed my lunch and gas break to coincide with going to the same Sheetz and KFC, and I wasn’t disappointed! What can I say, but deja-vu! Same great experience and food! I only give gradings and comments for places that really leave an impression on me, and this isn’t just the best KFC I ever visited, but probably the best overall fast food place I’ve had the pleasure to patronize. Huge thanks to Amanda for taking care of me and my aunt, I’ll definitely be stopping in the next time I drive down South! –Karl Paul

I placed an order online and redeemed the free for a limited time 8 piece chicken bucket. I arrived to pick it up 12 minutes after ordering and everything was bagged up and waiting on me. The customer service was great and the chicken was fresh and absolutely delicious. Some of the best chicken I’ve gotten there and I eat at Elkins a lot.

The place is good but we asked them for Nashville hot tenders got home and our sauce looked like chuncky black vomit we were supposed to get pickles but we didn’t. They throw the sauce everywhere except the chicken. As the pictures show I didn’t go to kfc to get liquify sauced fries.

Went for dinner, wanted the $7 meal deal! (Was told the tenders would be 3-5 minutes, I was okay with everything, I wanted to order the NEW fried pickles! I was told it would be another 10 minutes! And if I really wanted to wait for them… I could pull forward and wait.. 10 minutes later, I never got them.. and cold tenders..

I just stopped on my way back to Syracuse from Merlefest in Wilkesboro.
April 27th, 7:30pm.
I am VERY GLAD I DID.
Their drive in was busy. I ate in the restaurant.
Ordered a 3 piece meal.
First, the very nice young lady at the counter asked me if I wanted 2 breasts and a drumstick or 2 drumsticks and a breast.
In Syracuse we don’t get that choice.
So I got 2 HUGE breasts and 1 HUGE drum.
Pretty quickly too, considering the line at the drive through.
The mashed potatoes were still warm.
Coleslaw still cold.
Chicken was better than the “home style Southern fried” chicken they were serving at Merlefest.
Not used to that in Syracuse either.
I can’t believe I am recommending a fast food place, but if you are driving Rte 77 and get hungry, this is the place to stop.

This was one of the most horrible place to stop on the way to Charlotte to experience carowinds. We waited almost 40 mins just to eat inside and the fact that I wasn’t the only one waiting that long was even more of an experience. They just remade our food and not give us refund and food. Said we can have our food but no refund. Or refund and no food. I’m sorry I’ve already been waiting 40 mins to eat with a family of 5 that to me just isn’t right.
