Decent bar food type place that is set back from all the touristy type places in Leadville. Though the bartender did a great job, kind of surprised it was just one person taking care of the bar, dining room and patio—which while she did real good, service could have been a lot better for the busier weekend lunch hour. The burger was decent (jalapeño bacon) but the fries were terrible and tasted like yesterday’s food reheated. The fries were 1/2 my meal and I couldn’t stomach more than two—when I mentioned the problem the bartender said she would talk to the chef about it and then did so right in front of me (but they both seemed to just shrug it off).

I used to be a fan of this place until my last experience made me never go back.
My hiking buddy and I hitched a ride to Leadville from the Mount Massive Wilderness with a 67-year-old Kansas retiree Gary and his 7-year-old service dog Maggie. We were outside this bar when Phil and his rabid dog attacked poor Maggie. Phil screamed at Gary to pull his dog from the attack, but it was clearly Phil’s dog who was uncontrolled. My hiker friend yelled and cursed at Phil that it was Phil’s fault, but Phil explained that Maggie deserved it since it was a public sidewalk. After the incident, we sat in the bar, and Phil asked us to leave due to the incident. We gladly left.
I cannot support a business that employs Phil.

Food was much better than I was expecting for ‘bar food’. Bacon cheeseburger was killer. Fries were cooked to perfection.
Really only the downfall was the selection of beer, but was still able to find something I like. Beer was corona, PBR, Blue Moon, Coors, and a few IPAs. Not a huge selection but you can find at least one that you’ll like.

Stopped in for a warm libation after driving in. Nate served it up with a smile and told us of the goings one around town since last we came up to the inlaws place. It was way past dinner time but still smelled awesome. Music choice was on point as well. Great bar and grill. Highly recommend.

Bad experience, got fries and two burgers to go only to discover the fries were so burnt there was no potatoe left inside and the outsides of the burger were burnt and none was edible. Called and the only response was sorry man, I’ll let the mgr know.

Well, at least the roach coaches are gone. Smells like stale beer and dirty feet. This place is rotting from the outside-in. Demo on the deck and fence is a travesty… almost all that wood could have been reclaimed.

Some aggresive green hair server aggressively pulled a drink from my friends hand while we were there and was hostile to our whole party while we were there. We promptly took our 8 person party to the scarlet after this. This is a huge pro lgbt bar and not welcoming to blue collar people. If ur a local or work for A living go elsewhere. If ur not a liberal or gay you are not welcome their. Also they dont even have any food. Definitely worst bar in leadville

This bar and the staff in it are simply the BEST. Always a good environment and the patio renovations are going to elevate the space in a major way. Kevin Shaffer, have you ever stopped to think you smell like bad beer and stinky feet? I bet your wife thinks so.
