I saw the bottle of oil on the table and then knew that there must be bread that would accompany it… Excited to try fresh bread, I asked for it and it arrived promptly. And we were not disappointed. It was warm also.
The food is pretty amazing. Everyone in my family got pasta. But of different kinds. The pasta is home made, and there are a lot of choices. It was not very loud at all. But we went on a Sunday night.
We thought we had a reservation for Saturday. And we arrived on Saturday night at 8 PM. And it was so hopping, so you would definitely have to have a reservation. Which makes sense because it’s such a good place to eat.
It may have been also noisier to eat on a Saturday night. But i’m not a hundred percent sure we are standing near the door and there were a lot of very excited people. So don’t rule it out. It just depends on your preferences and you may just have to take a chance. So you need to think about that when you make a reservation, whether you’d rather skip a night. Go a different time and possibly have a better dining experience…?
The sunday night atmosphere it was much more chill. Our waitress was very attentive. We could ask for modifications. We even enjoyed ourselves so much even after finishing our main dishes, we chatted amongst ourselves not realizing how much time had passed. We ended up being the last customers and then ended up closing the restaurant. They actually were waiting for us to leave and were kind enough to let us stay a little bit longer while they cleaned up. And we just made it in time, and they let us have a dessert even though the kitchen was getting ready to close.
The dessert was so good.
SO: make a reservation and you’ll eat great food and expect that you might need some extra time. Because you’ll get caught up in the the awesome dishes, the conversation, the wonderful bread and then you want to have some time for dessert. So expect a good evening.
We did want to go back, but it closed for the season. So being there in the winter does have its drawbacks, but it is definitely worth going to while you’re on vacation. I do not know if they are open for lunch. But if you can do that, try that as well, it is worth the hype. When we went on Saturday night and it was crowded. There were people of all ages, so it’s definitely good.Even for the young ones (late teens)! Early 20s (bringing their dates)!
The service is what really keeps us coming back. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes such a difference. The food is consistently delicious and it is always hard to choose between the pasta and the pizza. The pepperoni pizza is a classic and never disappoints, and the pasta dishes we’ve tried have all been great.
Highly recommend Pasta Beach Newport for the food, service, and overall experience.
The restaurant was bustling. All the tables, both indoor and outdoor, were occupied. However, we were pleased to find plenty of seats available at the two bars. We chose to sit at the back bar, which had chairs with backs—a nice touch for comfort.
The two bartenders were fantastic, expertly managing the entire restaurant with impressive efficiency. Their recommendations were spot on. We tried the pasta with clams and the lasagna. The clam dish was exceptionally fresh, with superb flavor. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his lasagna, describing it as “real good.”
We stayed at the Viking Hotel, making the walk to Pasta Beach a delightful evening stroll.
Overall, Pasta Beach is a must-visit if you want great service and delicious food around Bellevue Ave. The lively atmosphere and attentive bartenders made our dining experience memorable.
