Food is decent. Dirty place. Rude staff. Lots of old dudes who look like they never leave. Expensive for what you get. LONG WAIT for food. Not worth it. There are much better places in Louisville.

You order your food at the counter before finding a seat. The guy at the counter taking the order was extremely rude. This place is not for persons with disabilities as no one comes and checks on you to make sure everything is okay. The place is dirty and considered to be a hole in the wall joint. You cannot get soft drinks to go because they don’t have to go cups. The sampler platter was lacking and not worth the money. They need to do better and hire better staff. Rudeness will not be tolerated.
No refills on soft drinks

The cod sandwich is tasty, but the wait just wasn’t worth it. I went around noon on a Friday and waited over an hour and a half for the food to come out (our order was 2 cod sandwiches). Their tables are communal, so expect to sit with strangers when you come unless you have a large group. It’s pretty noisy in here too

Best fish dinner in Louisville! Easy in and easy out, free refills and many TV’s to view your favorite game! There is a pool table in the back. This is your neighborhood family diner. Dress casual- no dress code, come as you are!! Cash only, ATM inside!

This. Place. RULES! As you enter the mud/gravel parking lot and see the unassuming building, you might ask yourself “Should I really be eating here?” The answer is YES, a thousand times. It’s much better and much more affordable than that other popular place you probably hear about. Eat at Passtime. Every time. The food is perfect. The service is perfect. The wait for food can run a little long. I want to say we waiting about 15 minutes after ordering. But for hot, fresh, perfect food, it’s worth the wait. The atmosphere is awesome. I love a place like this. I can’t say enough good about it.

Out of the way place with old time dive feel. Great fish and fries. Not my kinda slaw with vinegar base. Very cold beer with large selection. Would highly recommend. Large crowd already at 5pm on a Friday. Only caution would be the fish breading has pepper in it and I know some people just don’t like pepper.

The food was amazing we had the fish platter. The placed needed to be cleaned bad. The floors were filthy, the restrooms bad and dust thick on the jukebox and walls you could write you name in it. Don’t want to see the kitchen because the food was great and I wouldn’t have tried it otherwise

First time at Passtime.
You either have to be looking for this place, or just know where it is, because it is off the main road. We were there for lunch. There was plenty of parking in the gravel lot out front. The building and decor are authentic and do not pretend to be anything they aren’t. We ordered at the bar. We decided to eat outside, because it was a beautiful day, so they took our names (I guess so they could find us when our meal was ready). They brought our food pretty quick. I had a dressed fried catfish sandwich and my wife had fish fingers. They were very good. The tarter sauce was house made and very good. I had a West 6th on draft. It was also very good. I Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. I would recommend it to my less delicate friends. For those who can’t stand dust on your car or shoes, too bad, you’re missing out.

Recently watched the review of this restaurant on GoodallsCountryKitchen youtube channel. He was spot on about this place. The restaurant is hidden back off waterson trail. This is a place to visit and kick back enjoy great fish and have a beer if you drink. The place is cash only. There is an atm inside if you don’t have cash. I got the fish platter. Fish was hot and seasoned perfectly. French fries were seasoned and had great taste. It was very busy. Service was a bit slow due to how busy it was. It has the tavern look inside. They tape $1 bills to the walls everywhere inside. Definitely worth stopping in for some good fried fish.

Went just before the dinner. The place was packed in a matter of minutes. I ordered cheese sticks that were typical bar food. We ordered two fish dinners. Fish and fries were good and the fish was a huge piece. I didn’t care for the potato salad and my husband said the coke slaw wasn’t good. That being said they are tiny portions anyway. I did enjoy the fish and fries but may be just a tad expensive. I would go back if I were in the area for fish and fries.
