Such a delicious breakfast! My dad and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and service- our server, Alaija, was so friendly. I got the fried green tomato Benedict and my dad got the crawfish omelette and there were absolutely no complaints. Would definitely come back!

Breakfast at Passe Restaurant was really disappointing. It felt like glorified school cafeteria food. The best part of the meal was honestly just the toast and raspberry jam — everything else fell flat. They claim to serve crispy hash browns, but mine were soggy and flat. The scrambled eggs tasted like they came straight from a carton, and the sausage patties seemed like they were just warmed up, nothing fresh or flavorful. The look and atmosphere of the place really don’t match the quality of the food. Overall, I would not recommend it for breakfast.

From the food to the service, wow, everything was fresh and delicious. The menu is small but well curated with dishes they do very well. Feels very Louisiana. The desserts were TOP TIER. I cannot explain how they even got the layers in the beignets. Do yourself a favor and grab a dinner, a drink, and end with the beignets and monkey bread- you will not regret it!

Fabulous night discovering this new bar / restaurant downtown! This was a fun date night filled with good music and good food. The music was subtle and soft (not live music).
Sat at the bar and ordered a few drinks from happy hour. For food we ordered the oysters, Mardi Gras pasta, and veggie flatbread. The flatbread was sooo good that we ate every piece of it.
I recommend the food and drinks here! Not to mention the new Origin hotel design was very fun to observe.

Cute cafe vibes. Was decorated for Halloween. Food was reasonably priced despite being attached to a hotel. We weren’t disappointed. It’s a vibe!

I stayed at the Origin Hotel and this was a convenient restaurant without having to walk outside so I gave it a try. I was famished after a long flight so I ordered a main entree along with a small plate. I ordered the Blackened Redfish Yaya as the main entree and the Shrimp & Crawfish Dip small plate. The main entree was okay, nothing special and a little burnt. But the dip was absolute cheesy gooey heaven! Highly recommended, I want to get it again next time I am back in Baton Rouge for business…it’s that good.

Amazing menu, yummy food, and really friendly service at a new restaurant/hotel in downtown Baton Rouge!! We stayed at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and Louisiana classics at this cute joint. Would recommend to anyone, even if not staying at the hotel!

My food was undercooked with bacon on it. I said no pork .( redfish yaya) .my friend had the porkchop, which was undercooked . It took over 20 min to get gumbo . and shrimp and crawfish dip. The experience was not worth the drive. My time. Or money.

Stopped in for lunch on Saturday for the first time, definitely a one and done experience. Great location. The decor, a cross between an old school diner and a cozy cafe. The menu is small but manages to offer enough variety to have a great dining experience. All the makings of a great restaurant, right up until you walk in. No one to acknowledge you. The one person working was busy chatting at the bar on the other end of the restaurant, my wife finally walked down there and asked if we seat ourselves. We ordered coffee and water. The water never came, we received it on the second request, not a deal breaker. Time to order some food, the Chefs Board (love charcuterie), and the Tower Orleans. The server then returns to let us know they can’t do a Chef Board, trying to stay hopeful, I tell the server not a problem, I’ll take the Fish of the Day. The server returns again to let me know they do not have asparagus for the FOD, I let server know that it’s not a problem, I ordered FOD for the crawfish fried rice. The server returns with our food, and informs me they also don’t have the fried rice either and dropped a plate with a pitiful piece of baked fish on it, I said I don’t want it. We kept the Tower Orleans to share. The sauce was good. All the fried food was fried to the color of dark walnut and tasted like it was fried in old oil. Great location, great concept…epic fail! I can see running out of something, understandable, but after three attempts to order from the menu and nothing, why put out a menu at all?

We ate at Passe for Mother’s Day brunch. I was a bit disappointed that we could only choose from the brunch menu which was rather small, especially since they weren’t even busy. We had really been looking forward to the seafood beignets, but that wasn’t on the brunch menu.
I ordered the Bananas Foster Pancakes. The pancakes were good, but the sauce was definitely off. The bananas were actually very thin and chewy. I didn’t even know bananas could be chewy. I suspect that they used dehydrated bananas, but I can’t be sure. Whatever they did, it was bad. My husband got the steak and it was overcooked with one side being much more done than the other. My mother got the shrimp and grits and I think her dish was okay.
With regard to decor, it was cute, but definitely not enough for a nice dinner. It was more like very nice diner decor.
I had heard good things about it, but it didn’t live up to the hype.
