Reviews
We didn’t need a reservation, there was plenty of sitting.
We loved the comfortable booths, the service was excellent.
From the mixed appetizers to the tikka Masala, the Nan bread. Everything was superb.
The flavors would explode in your mind and they taylor the level of spiciness to each client. It’s a must try if you like Indian food.
The mango lassi was delicious!
That is exactly what Borhan Ahmed did with his mother Akther’s recipes. He carried those flavors in his heart, eventually inheriting his mother’s most prized possession: her recipe book. After leaving Bangladesh at the age of 17 and exploring four different continents, Borhan recognized that while every generation changes, the essence of flavor remains. He took it upon himself to learn the diverse profiles of his journeys and infuse them into his own unique formula.
Before establishing himself here in Naples, Borhan met his ‘secret ingredient’ in New York: his wife, Angela. She fell in love not just with him, but with the intoxicating biryanis and fragrant kormas he prepared in their tiny apartment kitchen.
‘The first time he cooked for me,’ Angela recalls with a smile, ‘I knew I was tasting something extraordinary; it wasn’t just food, it was poetry.’ Beyond her love for him, Angela saw a vision—she believed these recipes were a gift that needed to be shared with the world.
Established in Naples, Florida in 1992, this restaurant’s story is essential to understanding the experience. From the history to the plate, every detail feels purely intentional in all regards.
Now, LET’S TALK ABOUT THE FOOD!
This was our first time visiting, but it absolutely won’t be our last. The moment you walk through the doors, it feels like coming home. The ambiance is cozy, with soft, dim lighting and a front-of-house team that welcomes you with genuine warmth.
The next thing that hits you is the aroma—a perfect harmony of spices. It felt as though it was specifically designed to set the tone for what was to come: a meal prepared with pure intention
Heres what we tried:
Garlic Naan You can never go wrong with this option, and they did everything right. It was the perfect balance of soft and crisp, with just the right amount of savory garlic.
Chicken Korma Tender, boneless chicken braised in a velvety yogurt base infused with the earthy warmth of cumin and coriander.
The addition of garlic provided a subtle bite, while the slow-cooked potatoes absorbed every bit of the fragrant sauce.
Cabbage Bhaji A vibrant, light side dish of finely shredded cabbage sautéed with turmeric and spices. It offered a wonderful texture that complemented the richness of the main course.
Pilau Rice The perfect pairing for the meal—aromatic, fluffy, and infused with delicate spices that tied all the flavors together.
We can’t wait to return and try other combinations; this is officially one of our go-to spots. If you are looking for a true passage to India right here in Naples, FL—this is a must-try!
It was our first time dining here. Everything was Delicious and our waitress was amazing.
Our waitress was excited to explain the menu and made suggestions for me being that I am a vegetarian.
The portions were huge and I absolutely wanted a To go box.
Sweetest part was when we seen our waitress running through the parking lot with my to go box I left on the table. She made my first experience… amazing.
Thank you!
My 5 year old picky eater son devoured the Chicken Pakora appetizer so I don’t have pictures of that.
We will definitely return when in Naples!
