Parquet carries itself like a serious Micheline recommended destination, and the room delivers. The dining space feels polished, intimate, and energetic without being chaotic. Service was attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed, making the evening flow smoothly from arrival to departure. Unfortunately, the food did not match the experience. Dishes were technically sound but lacked depth, creativity, and memorability. Flavours felt safe rather than inspired, and plating relied more on presentation than substance. Portions were measured, yet nothing lingered. The restaurant thrives on reputation, which keeps every table full, but I left feeling underwhelmed and would not return for another visit.

Had an incredible experience at Parquet for dinner! There was a wide variety of food, and Head Chef Nicky visited our table to check in and make suggestions. Our server Meeks was incredibly knowledgeable about all menu items as well. We were promptly served, the vibe and the aesthetic were great, and the food was fantastic. They had some items on the menu that were very unique in terms of flavour and concept, so I’d highly recommend checking in and trying something new.

Came here on a Tuesday to celebrate my boyfriend’s 38th birthday. We had never been, and looked here on OpenTable for some restaurants we hadn’t tried. Parquet came up and I’m so glad it did! Tucked away on the corner of Robert and harbour, this restaurant offers delicious eats, and very yummy cocktails to go with. We had, the bread with butternut squash, and some oysters to start. Both were very good, well presented. Perfect way to start. We then got the leek croquettes, and the steak tar tar. Oh my, absolutely outstanding. We were already so excited with what we got we knew the main would not disappoint. We got the short rib, accompanied but the fingerling smashed potatoes. One of the best courses I’ve had. The meat was fall off the bone tender, and the potatoes were light fluffy, but also so delicious.
Dessert we did the panacotta, and the lemon tart which were a perfect way to finish off the meal. The service was great, our server was super attentive, and knowledgeable. He definitely elevated the night for us.
We were the last table that left, but didn’t feel rushed or pushed out. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Delicious meal from start to finish — we loved every dish! The seared shrimp with risotto made a fantastic opener. The steak frites were cooked perfectly medium and incredibly tender, with hot, crispy fries and a wonderful aioli that took the fries to next level. The duck confit, with duck-fat potatoes for a gluten allergy, had a crispy skin and flavourful meat, and paired beautifully with the smashed potatoes. Had to note that both the fries and duck fat potatoes were so good, they really know how to perfect the potatoes. Broccolini was tasty. For dessert, the Earl Grey panna cotta was a nice sweet finish. Service was attentive and water glasses were refilled frequently. It’s rare that a restaurant nails every dish, this one clearly earned its Michelin guide spot!

Great service overall and the food was really good. It was busy when I went, I did made a reservation and arrived on time. I completely understand the 2-hour seating limit, and we finished within that time without any issue.

What took away from the experience was the constant reminders from the host — we were told about the time limit 3-4 times during our meal. We understood it the first time, but the repeated reminders really killed the vibe and made the experience feel rushed.

That said, our server was great — very polite and attentive. I’d come back for the food and service, just hoping the hosting experience is handled a bit more smoothly next time.

What a nice vibe at Parquet. Nicky the head chef really knows what he’s doing! The food was very comforting and even though we had a massive spread we felt super at ease after..probably the most moist hen I have ever had in my life. And to top it off the desserts were immaculate. Each dessert had a unique touch that really will make parquet memorable!!

Oh my goodness, this place is such a nice vibe. The neighbourhood around Parquet is so nice and quaint so it makes dining here really lovely. You’re in Toronto but not in stuck in the craziness of it.

I’ve never had French food but I visited with my friends and the chef Nicky was extremely kind and helpful and even took time to visit our table and help us make some choices.

Everything we had was really lovely and we can’t wait to come back. The wait staff was really attentive and kind as well. Thank you again Chef Nicky!! Everything was amazing.

100% recommend!!

This place made me feel like I was at a French bistro, especially the music and ambiance. I enjoyed their service as they were attentive to the dinner service.

I liked the Sacré Bleuet, the cocktail that I ordered. It was light, refreshing, and sweet without being too alcohol-forward.

With our appetizer… You can never go wrong with butter and chicken liver, but the bread was a bit tough. At the very least, it should have been warmed up.

The execution on the mains could have been worked on. The sauce that accompanied the halibut was flavorful, but the fish was slightly overcooked. The duck confit, was fall-off-the-bone/melt-in-your-mouth worthy. However, the pickled cabbage portion was a bit excessive. I would have preferred a smaller serving with an additional starch to balance the dish. That might just be a personal preference, though.

The food was okay. Nothing particularly memorable or exciting. While the presentation was nice, the dishes lacked depth and complexity.

Service could definitely be improved. We waited around 40 minutes for our main course. Although we chose to be patient, I was surprised that no one checked on us during that time. Cups were refilled throughout the meal, which was appreciated, but there was no communication about the delay until the very end. While they did apologize and offered a complimentary dessert, a simple explanation earlier would have gone a long way.

I’ve been to other fine dining spots in the city, and unfortunately, this experience fell short. I don’t think the price matched the quality of the food or the level of service.
