Couldn’t be more disappointed. Several previous reviews have it correct – at a diner one expects decent to large portions at reasonable prices – not Parkway! Overpriced lunch, waitress got the order wrong (and the booth next to us, too). Dumbfounding how some local professional reviewers give this dump high praise. Dirty, old, overpriced, poor service (at least on this particular day) and mediocre food. What’s not to like?!

One of the best diners in Stamford! The diner has a comforting, old-fashioned feel that doesn’t feel dirty at all, unlike some other older diners. I always order Lushe’s Parkway Special, especially for the pancakes which I love. While I haven’t tried their non-breakfast dishes yet, I’m sure they are good. The prices are great compared to other diners, and the staff is always very friendly. I highly recommend it!

Travellers, this is a nice dinner off the Merritt parkway in Stanford Connecticut. The menu has a large variety of items to choose from. There are sandwiches that are served cold, served hot, and served open faced. They have traditional Greek food included on the menu too. Overall it was a good dining experience. Open-faced roast beef sandwich was delicious, and chicken Caesar salad was delicious too. And also quite large. The gyros are excellent and the fries are outstanding. The spinach pie wasn’t the bright spot on the menu. The service was quick and with a smile. Good dining experience. Check it out. We recommend.

TL;DR – Solid diner fare

We came for breakfast, and it wasn’t pleasant, usually it’s pretty nice but the waiter seemed as though she didn’t want to be bothered but happily helped a different family as soon as she sat them down. After taking their drink order she brought us menus. Eventually came back took our drink order and then it’s small but basically threw the straws at us. A new waiter came and he was very nice which made it better but the First Lady really left a sour taste in my mouth.

The online menu definitely needs to be updated. My bill is at least $7 more than what I saw online. Hash Browns are not seasoned (which I don’t know why diners serve them with the corn beef hash & eggs breakfast). Only gave a 3 star because of the hash browns and online price difference. I’ve only been twice as of 11/11/25 and had breakfast.

We stopped here on our way to New Hampshire. The food was ok. Nothing exceptional. The waitress took our order and then maybe check on us once. I actually had to ask for the toast for our food, coffee and water. Then everyone disappeared so I had to find someone to get us our check to leave.

The food was awful. Daughter ordered a short stack of silver-dollar pancakes, but they brought her chocolate-chip pancakes that were flat like crepes. Wife ordered a cheddar bacon burger; it was a small, overcooked patty with burnt bacon and half a slice of cheese. The other daughter ordered the meatloaf ($30!), and it tasted strange, like it had too many seasonings, and the mashed potatoes had garlic in them.

Went with my family of 5 and we were appalled at the awful attitudes of the wait staff. Consistent attitudes and rudeness. The one gentlemen that works there was the nicest thing about the place. But the ladies were snarky and curt. The straws were tossed at us and we were checked on. The waitress with a dark black ponytail was the ring leader of the rudeness. One of them had the audacity to joke “okay times up what are you ordering” after we asked for an extra minute when we were looking for less than 2 minutes at the menu. They add their own automatic 20% tip probably because they know their attitude is not going to result in a decent tip. We are kind, good guests. They were unwelcoming with us from the start.

This diner is ok. Nothing really worthy of more than three stars. It is very dated. Needs an upgrade. The menu sounded better than the food. We also felt a bit rushed, and the place wasn’t crazy busy.

The best food and the best people. They have been around for so long and the quality has never changed. Everytime I go there it feels like home cooking.
