We spend a wonderful New Year’s Eve at Parker’s. My scallops were cooked to perfection – melt in your mouth, tender, zero grittiness and the flavors on the plate all worked so well together. We also had the elk meatballs, mushroom soup, salad, and the halibut. These were also delicious . We tried cocktails from the signature menu and they did not disappoint. They were extremely busy. We weren’t in any hurry, so it was perfect for us. The vibe of the restaurant was perfect. Our server was amazing. Reservations are a must.

I’ve been here so many times, everything is always wonderful. Most recent visit I had the elk meatballs, veggie lasagna and pheasant ravioli – all phenomenal. Highly recommend. The tuna napoleon left me wanting something… more. Beautiful presentation though. And as always, gotta start off with a few oysters.

This place is incredible. My finance and I moved here a year ago, we have tried all of the nicer places now but keep landing back here. Atmosphere, presentation and service are great. Above all else the flavors are amazing and the food is cooked to perfection. EVERY. DANG. TIME. 10/10

Unfortunately this restaurant has gone steeply downhill. Like tripped and fell down a well, almost…

Perhaps due to new management (?) both the food quality and service left much to be desired. Out of the 4 of us that ate there, 3 wound up sending our meals back.

My $65 filet mignon (beef tenderloin) was cooked well (ruined), instead of the med rare I ordered. The waiter treated the feedback like it was the oddest thing she’d ever heard, and was increasingly incredulous as the others in our party pointed out their issues.

This is on top of several items that were just… never brought to the table. A side order of frites never showed up, and at least one drink was not delivered.

Since they were out of many things (5+ menu items and a half dozen drink components), after my steak was taken back to the kitchen, we were informed that they had no more steak either. The manager suggested he return the steak, now having been poked and prodded by the kitchen team, to finish eating it.

And after all of this, only the steak wound up being comped…

This restaurant’s only value during our stay is its presence as an inside joke… so if you’re looking for a bonding experience, this is the place! If you’re looking for fine dining, I’d try somewhere else.

Killer dinner tonight at Parker’s Bistro in Sioux Falls. This is hands-down my favorite place to eat in South Dakota. Special little spot in the heart of downtown Sioux Falls, on Main Ave — Parker’s delivers top-tier food, cocktails, and service. It’s family-owned, and the owner is always there — lovely, welcoming, and very passionate about what she does.

They were packed (as they should be), but we snagged a last-minute bar seat. I honestly recommend making reservations if you’re coming on a Friday or Saturday night — or do what we did and enjoy dinner at the bar. There are multiple dining spaces too, each with its own vibe. You can sit in the south side dining room, the brick room, or near the open kitchen for a more traditional fine dining feel — or visit their glitzy cocktail bar next door, Myrtle’s Fur Vault and Bar, which is also gorgeous.

I kicked things off with an Old Fashioned (see photo 1) that was absolutely perfect — like something you expect from a top-tier cocktail bar in New York or London, complete with a crystal-clear diamond ice cube. Then I had a flight of fresh oysters, and yes — I know what you’re thinking, oysters in South Dakota — but these were straight from Menemsha Pond in Massachusetts (see photo 2.) Fresh, clean, and absolutely restaurant-quality for the coast.

Next up: the Young Alumni, a signature Parker’s cocktail with rye whiskey, Cynar, mascarpone, blueberry, and lemon. Creative, artisanal cocktail (see photo 4.) Sorta showcases why Parker’s leads the way in bars in downtown Sioux Falls. Lip-smacking good!

For dinner, I had a classic Caesar salad (see photo 3) (anchovies optional — I opted out) followed by their prime rib dinner special (see photo 5) — a massive cut served with a silky demi-glace au jus. It knocked my socks off. Perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and plated with broccolini and housemade sauce.

Then came the Blackthorn Sour, and it was absolutely perfect — bold, spiced, and citrusy with just the right bite (see photo 6.) You can tell the bartenders here know exactly what they’re doing. Between the Young Alumni and this, it’s clear Parker’s has one of the best craft cocktail programs in Sioux Falls. Every detail = spot on.

Dessert: I opted for the affogato, with espresso poured over vanilla gelato made at the creamery at SD State in Brookings (see photo 7.) It was the perfect sweet note to end on and a good pick-me-up so that I could enjoy the rest of the evening downtown.

Next time, I’ll plan to pop next door to their sister lounge, Myrtle’s Fur Vault and Bar, for an after-dinner cocktail. It’s the perfect spot to wind down speakeasy-glam style. This time, we decided to stroll out and catch some live music down the block.

I can’t say enough good things. The cocktails are the best downtown, the menu is always seasonal, and the vibe makes it one of the most romantic restaurants in Sioux Falls. Whether you’re in town for a night or you live nearby, put Parker’s Bistro on your list.

10/10.

I don’t live near enough to Sioux falls. The food menu is extremely diverse. There’s just so many things I want to try! Everyone there was very pleasant from host, to waitress, to cooking staff while I was sitting at the bar. Cocktail list was also astounding. The ambiance was exactly what I liked. Everything seemed to just move so quickly and effectively. I don’t see how anybody can be disappointed coming here.

This is the first time at Parkers Bistro in years. What an amazing experience! We made reservations and were seated right away. We were seated at a very nice booth and Sam was taking care of us. He was very attentive and friendly. He did an excellent job all evening. Chef Robert and the owner Stacy came out and chatted with us which was a really nice touch. We started with a bottle of Riesling that was recommended by our server and it was excellent! For appetizers we had the oysters…some of the best I’ve ever had! Chef Robert shared that they came from Massachusetts and were overnighted so were incredibly fresh. We also had the crab egg rolls which were so so good. I had the fish of the day which was steelhead trout and my husband had the New York Strip. Both were beautiful and perfectly cooked! The fish had a delicious sauce as well as mushrooms, broccolini and a barley type risotto that was to die for. The steak came with amazing asparagus and fingerling potatoes. We finished up with creme brulee, Americano coffee and cream and a pink squirrel. On our way out we stopped at Myrtles… Fun crew and good the weather warms!

Went to Parker’s for a wine dinner. Advertised price was $100.
It started off on the wrong foot by starting almost 45 minutes late. The room had no noise dampening and was louder than necessary.
In addition, it took 3 1/2 hours to do 7 courses. A typical wine dinner is usually wrapped up within 2 hours.
Oh and the wagyu and fries were cold
In addition, imagine our surprise when there’s a mandatory $22 gratuity charge! Never once was it disclosed that gratuity was not included and would be 20%.
Very disappointed by the “gotcha charge aka gratuity charge” and the fact it took 3 1/2 hours to complete the meal

To further add insult to injury, after paying, our server ran us down in the parking lot and had the audacity to accuse us of not paying for our wine dinner. ‍♀️ oh honey, if you had opened any of our signed slips on the table. You’d see we were all charged for our meals and we all paid.

Spent $340 on dinner for four (before tip). Food and service was subpar. We tried the burger battle burger and it was “different” and difficult to enjoy – wouldn’t recommend. $70 steak was just ok. The dessert was rock hard frozen couldn’t even cut it with a knife. Drinks were good. We have been a few times in the past and loved it, but this time it was a disappointment. For the price it’s not worth the gamble, we probably won’t be back unless it’s just for a cocktail.
