The $5 lobster sliders are incredible — fresh, flavorful, and honestly one of the best happy hour deals in the city. Pair them with the Spritz cocktail (a must-order — crisp, refreshing, beautifully balanced) and don’t miss the mini Cosmo — sensational, perfectly chilled, and dangerously delicious.
Whether you’re in Midtown for business, shopping, or just exploring the city, this spot delivers elevated brasserie vibes with standout cocktails and unbeatable specials. Highly recommend for anyone searching for top NYC happy hour spots, lobster sliders in Manhattan, or a chic French brasserie experience.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
That said, the food didn’t quite live up to the atmosphere. We ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict ($27), the French Dip ($32), and a mimosa. The flavors were fine, but nothing stood out. The salmon portion on the Benedict was surprisingly stingy, and the French Dip arrived very rare and quite red. When I asked about it, I was told that’s simply how they serve it, which might appeal to some, but it wasn’t to my taste. The only thing I genuinely enjoyed was the French fries.
Overall, I’d happily return for the ambiance and convenient location — both are definite strong points — but the food itself wouldn’t be the reason I’d go back.
But the desserts are the real star here. The vanilla chiffon cake is like something from a picture book come to life. Even if you think you don’t like pastry cream, it will change your life and ruin you for all future lesser versions. And the mousse. I love mousse and order it frequently, but I had never experienced it like this. They come to your table with a two-part refrigerated metal bucket, and scoop out chocolate mousse from one side and some kind of magical vanilla cream from the other and slap them on a plate. It’s not pretty, but you will never be satisfied by a cute little mousse cup again.
We were there fairly early in the dinner hours, so we had the dining room to ourselves for most of the meal and only a few other tables were filled by the time we left, so it was blessedly quiet for the most part, and service was attentive to a fault. I think I scared off one waiter who came by twice before we’d finished reading the menu, since he decamped to the bar area and a different waiter took over our table.
A great choice for a pre-show dinner or just a night out.
My pork was slightly overcooked, but it was still a great dining experience.
The pattypan squash served with the chicken was delicious and well-prepared. However, some other dishes, such as the Goat Cheese Croquette, Beef Bourguignon, and Onion Soup with puff pastry, were overly greasy. While the flavors were good overall, the heaviness prompted us to skip dessert.
Overall, it’s a nice spot with great service and ambience, but the food could benefit from a lighter touch. I rate it a 6 out of 10, primarily because of the greasiness.
