The crackers were stale and the milk tea hurt my stomach, so they are definitely giving you items that aren’t worth the time/gas/dignity shopping here, and with an attitude.
Save yourself some money and go down the street to “Cha I Enjoy”, the boba is on the pricier side but is good and the staff aren’t rude. In short, trust the reviews on Too Good to Go and the other reviews saying how low quality the food is and save your money.
The spring rolls were just insulting. One looked fine, one was burst open, and one was still in the cling wrap! I took one bite of the decent spring roll and spit it out, no flavor at all. I took the tiniest taste of the sauce and it was obnoxiously sweet. I could tell it was very old bc I have never seen the peanuts go completely soft before.
I also got a couple “too good to go” bags and again, insulting. I got 2 bags of croutons and 1 packaged pastry that expired DEC 2024!!
The boba drinks they gave me were gross unsweetened tea and matcha with tasteless boba.
There is a self serve kiosk as well as a counter to place an order. We got one of the individually wrapped Japanese breads/cakes, a boba drink, and a layered cream crepe cake.
The atmosphere was not cozy, to say the least. But cool spot for the Loop!
Well done
WAIT TIME: It’s a fast food type locale so no wait time. Place your order at kiosk or counter and sit wherever.
FOOD: I got the half mozzarella half meat potatoes covered corn dog. It was what I expected it to be – a very fried yummy snack that left me pretty full. Nothing too special about it but it was what I was looking for.
SERVICE: I did the self service kiosk. Was easy to order from.
AMBIANCE: The music was nice and relaxing, giving cafe vibes. The tables were just like a fast food ambiance.
PRICE: Corn dog was around $6. Reasonable for what I got.
The menu was beautifully and simply displayed on screens for all to view, the music reminded me of Paris which was a great detail to the restaurant.
Service was extremely friendly, you can tell the employees have customer service experience. Even when the tickets were increasing and the line was out the door, everyone remained level-headed and worked efficiently.
All-in-all the special Banh mi I ordered was fantastic. The bread was soft and fresh. There was a perfect amount of crunch and softness to the bread. The pickled veggies were my favorite, always adding a freshness to the sandwich. The meat is exactly how I remember it from childhood, generous, delicious and filling. I wish I took a picture of my Banh mi but it looked so good I ate it all before I had the thought of taking a photo.
If you’re visiting Delmar Loop in st.Louis Missouri, this is a great place for lunch with friends or your significant other. Grab a table and have a cute and relaxing Banh mi in paradise!
