Ate dinner there the servers tried hard to accommodate who spoke very little English But used translators to get thru it helped the young waiters helped each other I forget names but not faces even tho my order was wrong I made it work

Decent restaurant focusing on Italian pasta dishes with a French twist. There’s a few authentic French dishes but you’ll predominantly find Italian pasta, gnocchi etc.
While the food did taste great, the French elegance is a bit missing since the dishes are very heavy and overloaded with cream and/ or cheese.
The ambience was great. They have excellent lighting but the music was a bit too loud for my taste.
Overall I’d say it’s a good choice for Barra da Tijuca, yet you can find better alternatives at similar price points in Ipanema & Leblon.

Quick business dinner in a fab ambience. French bistro style with a twist. Beach front at Barra which is not bad and the food and service were very good and fast. Desert is a must have at this place !!!

If you have a sweet tooth, you have to try the desserts here. A nice little place. Depending on when you go the wait can be long for a table.

The service was great. The waiters spoke with us in English at times which we were grateful for.
We saw images of the Grand Gateau Paloma Bernardi which made us want to try this place and ordered it. It was amazing. I would come back for this.

Disappointing and not worth the money. I actually liked their carbonara sauce but the way dishes are assembled makes it all a single flavor. I wouldn’t really felt the taste of the Paillard if it wasn’t a bit salty.
The desert was my biggest deception. It sounds nice when you read the description but it is just too sweet. Price of a glass of wine was just ridiculously expensive.

Honestly disappointed with this restaurant considering the reputation it has. Starters were the highlight, then it went all downhill. Both my partners and my mains were served cold, steak was over cooked and tough, and my partners dish lacked flavour. Generally just underwhelmed and wouldn’t come back. And to summarise, we barely touched our mains and for a few drinks included the bill far exceeded the value of the experience. For the same money you can dine in far better restaurants.

Nice restaurant, we went on a Friday night, think we arrives around 2300hrs, and it was packed. Service was okay, food was good. I did feel the price was rather high though, 500RS/100USD for the 2 of us, 1 starter, 2 main dishes and a bottle of house wine
